Hadn't been in this hotel for 20 years and although the name has changed - not much else has. The front reception has been upgraded as well as the lounge and restaurant. The rooms have had some upgrades but were pretty much the same. I did like the heated floors in the bathrooms and the walk-in showers. The mattresses need to be rotated and the desk chair was broken. The water slide and hot tube weren't working when we got there, but they did get somebody there about 1 hour after we called it in. All in all - it was okay.

Booked in late afternoon and out early next day. Room was clean and parking for truck and trailer was OK as well. We did not eat at the restaurant this time, as there is an excellent little place across the street.

The hotel is good, the room is relatively large, just beside the highway, it is very convenient to enter and exit, it is a good place to stop for long-distance travel, and I will choose to stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity.

We stayed here twice in one week. On the way up to Clear lake then again on the way back. Both rooms were clean. The phone did not work on the second room. We did not need it but I did tell the front desk when we were leaving. Itcould be dangerous if someone needs to call 911. The rooms had mini fridges and microwaves. No coffee maker but they had coffee in the lobby all day. The first day they were working on the room that you eat breakfast in so we had to eat in our room which is a bit awkward. They had bacon, eggs, potatoes, waffle making machine, muffins, etc. (The second day they had sausages instead of bacon and the room was open.) The food server was very friendly. They had a security guard 24 hours. Not sure if that is usual as there were peoples staying there from the fires up North. The maintenance man went above and beyond to retrieve my diamond earring from out of the sink drain when I accidently dropped it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! They also facilitated our request for a room on the main floor as close to an exit as possible.

motel is clean and odor free, room is ok, bed comfortable, staff was polite, breakfast was good. nice variety for a motel chain. shower had plenty of hot water and was tall enough i could stand under it, but the stream was kinda weak. My biggest complaint was the *****ic way they wire the room. the main switch at the door will shut off all the lights in the room which is good, but it also shuts off the bathroom light as well. the bathroom has it's own switch. got up to use the Br in the middle of the night switch did NOTHING... had to go to the door and turn on the main switch which turned on all the lights. lucky my partner didnt wake up. she had on a mask.... but BEWARE..... i wasnt expecting this and this could be a bummer for others to have all the lights go on in the middle of the night. the place is pet friendly... could hear barking dogs. at night. so be aware of that too if you are NOT a pet traveller

We came to this hotel for a hockey tournament. and we were booked into it by the tournament organizer. This was a huge mistake for the tournament cause this hotel is not team and family friendly. They close the pool at 9:30pm for adult time (which meant no one used it after 9:30pm), you are not allowed any food or covered drink including water in the pool area. They refused to keep the lounge space attached to their breakfast room open at any point for kids or parents to be in. There is a small lounge with four chairs in the front lobby for people to be in but it’s not nearly enough space for the size of the hotel. This poor girls volleyball team sat in this tiny space to have a team dinner and over three quarters of them were on the floor. If you are coming with a team expect to be in your room the entire time as the expectations of this hotel force it to be this way.

The room seemed clean and roomy. We had 2 queen beds, they were comfortable. Looked like the rooms had a few upgrades. There was no where to hang a towel. Parking lot was full every night and it was difficult to find a parking place. Breakfast area is very tiny and too many tables so crowded. It was a hot breakfast and good selection. The first morning they were out of coffee and the girl was just running to keep up. Fairly quiet; it was packed so we did hear some people in the hallway in the mornings. This hotel was close to where we were visiting so that was the reason we stayed here.

NNew_friends_GRMy spouse and I were on vacation in August 2023, and our travels took us to Brandon for a night. We were using IHG points and were able to redeem points for our stay here. (We stayed here on a Monday night.) Overall, this is a great hotel... and I was told that it had opened within the past few years or so. It has the newer look/design to it. Our check-in process went smoothly, our room (#315) was clean and comfortable (and spacious), and we loved the amenities. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice and inviting... and breakfast in the morning was excellent! Plus, we got a pretty good night's sleep too which was, of course, important. We tend to stay at quite a few Holiday Inn Expresses, and this one was definitely one of the best ones we'd ever stayed at. If I ever find myself needing a hotel in Brandon again, I would be happy to stay here again.

GGuest UserRoom had the option of fresh air through window, or heating and cooling through the system. Bed was clean and very good mattress. Hot and full breakfast is from the inhouse restaurant and very well prepared. Staff are obviously interested in how you are doing and whether your needs are being met. I had to travel by car from Toronto out to western Canada and back. I have stayed at many average priced hotels that could offer me a bed and breakfast before getting on the road to the next place. Compared to all the others this is a gem! Best service and quality for an average price. This is the only one I felt motivated to share about on TripAdvisor. I am very impressed.
