An absolutely charming B&B in a quintessential English market town. Dianne is the perfect hostess, radiating warmth and hospitality. It’s ideally situated right in the middle of the town and a short trip to Hadrian’s Wall and Vindolanda for exploring Roman ruins. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious. We will definitely go back!

Bedrooms are excellent with very comfortable beds and such a lovely cuishon carpet in the bedroom especially after doing the long walk. breakfast was excellent such a lovely choice and Diane was very helpful as well as very friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

Thèse folks are in the right line of work. They are warm and welcoming and the place is cozy. Our bed was the best one of our entire trip. This is by far my favorite B&B of our Hadrian’s Wall trip. The breakfast was wonderful as well-fresh fruit and whatever else you need. Lots of good coffee and tea choices. If you arrive in time for dinner-I recommend The Star Anise-a wonderful Indian restaurant.

We booked this B&B quite late as our original place we booked couldn’t find our booking. We were so glad we did. Scotch Arms Mews is the most wonderful place, an old coaching inn that has been sympathetically converted into a brilliant B&B. Room was comfortable, there was an honesty bar which we took full advantage of. There are communal areas where we could get involved with conversations with other walkers and other spaces if people wanted to keep themselves to themselves. Breakfast was a buffet and very good. Dianne, thank you for the best stay of our trip and… We will see you next year.

Comfortable and convenient B&B with the warmest welcome from Dianne. While walking Hadrian’s Wall Path, this was refreshingly different as it had a comfortable lounge where we could enjoy a takeaway and a self-service honestly bar. Things have certainly changed since the negative reviews in 2017! We definitely recommend staying here.

We broke the journey from the north of Scotland to the South of England, going a short way from the motorway. Very comfortable and welcoming. In the lovely town of Brampton and near Hadrian’s wall, so could enjoy a meal and a quick trip in the countryside.Nice bedroom and comfortable sitting areas and a bar. Very good breakfast.

On cycle tour, the beds comfy, shower was powerful good temp. The Breakfast perfect loading for days ride. Very clean . History of building fascinating. Staff very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Recommend Scotch Arms to every traveller on foot or cycle

We stayed here for 1 night while walking Hadrian's Wall Path and it was fabulous! We received a warm welcome, fab rooms, a relaxing lounge and honesty bar. There are also restaurants and take aways within easy reach. You can dry out your boots and waterproofs by the log burner. Excellent buffet breakfast.

A group of 6 of us stayed here while walking Hadrian’s Wall. The owner could not have done more to make our stay more comfortable. When the service we had booked failed to pick us up at the designated place (in a cold, driving rain) we called the owner and she arranged another van to pick us up. When we arrived she greeted us at the door and had a stove going to warm us and dry out our shoes. She even made reservations for us at a local pub for dinner. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. I can’t give the owner of Scotch Arms Mews a higher recommendation.
