I was looking for a week of somewhere and decided that I would go visit Bornholm, since I’m a Dane, I’m 35 years old and I haven’t been yet. I can only say that I guess I’ve only waited till this amazing spot opened. We chose the rooms away from the terrace because wanted some peace, and we got that! I have no idea why they don’t market they have the best waffles on the island included in their breakfast (which is included in the price). I usually don’t eat breakfast, because I’m intimate fasting, but this week I wasn’t able to! They also have a place called “Hummerhytten / The Lobster Cavern” with a very very very decent take on a lobster hotdog with or without truffles. The staff is warm and welcoming! I only got positive words to describe this little magical place. After we explored the island, we found Gudhjem to be the best suitable city for us. It’s the only city of the island which is on a cliff, so you basically got a beautiful few from everywhere. There’s a lot of good restaurants and walking distance to Melstedbadehotel which have some amazing fish! I know where to stay when I’m back!

The rooms we got were fantastic for our needs: private entrance out to a big terrace with an uninterrupted view of the Baltic and Christians ø in the distance. The location is incredible; below the hotel, there is a nature area along the coast with a path leading down to the harbor and a walk along the cliffs. It is stunning and a fun place for our daughter to play. The breakfast was excellent and felt luxurious, although the selection of things to eat was not that large, so maybe it does not fit everyone. On the other hand, I would expect you could ask to get something else the next they if you do not like what you get since they prepared a separate breakfast tray for each group of guests. (Maybe that's different in the height of the season: we visited in the first half of May and there were very few guests.) One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is not staffed except at breakfast, so there is no reception where you can ask questions. (Maybe that's different in the primary season.)

We had a great time at Klippen in Gudhjem. This small town is sooo cute. Can't wait to go back. Breakfast was the best and rooms has the best view. Staff is really helpful. A great tip is to try the "Fish and Chips" in the restaurant for lunch.

I can not emphazise this enough; please do yourself a favour and give this a chance. It will meet your expectations and more! For couples needing a little getaway, “Klippen” provides the best facilities. It is one of Its kind, no tv, no phone and no extra amenities just pure serenity, bliss and the soothing sound of the waves breaking upon the cliffs. From the terrasse you can enjoy both sunrise and sunset. The kitchen provides an amazing hearthy breakfast, lunch and homebaked sweets for your afternoon coffee. Drinks and cocktails are also available for these scenic sunsets. Mr. Lucas and beautiful Emilia gave us the warmest welcome, being serviceminded and friendly to the core. Definitely a hidden gem there on the hill with the best view over Gudhjem harbour

Havde 3 overnatninger på dette hotel.
Burde ikke hedde et hotel,men nærmere bed & breakfast.
Værelset var beskidt da vi overtog det.Der blev ikke gjort rent på værelset nogen af dagene,ej heller skift af sengetøj.
Sengen blev redt hver dag.Ellers absolut ingen form for service.
Betalte 1500,- pr nat.Burde koste 500-600,-kr
Morgenmaden er ringe.Det hele er hentet i “Netto”og af tvivlsom kvalitet.
Eneste positivt var personalet,der er søde og venlige.
Hold jer langt væk.Dette hotel er kun en pengemaskine.

Fantastiskt utsikt från rummet. Nära till centrum. Städningen okej. Saknade hårfön och duschtvål. Det låg 2 små påsar med duschtvål på sängen när vi kom.

Det virkede som om at personalet ingen erfaring havde i at drive hotel. På alle områder var det meget ringe. Maden var direkte dårlig, Det eneste positive jeg kan sige er at beliggenheden er rigtig god, synd at personalet ikke besidder de rigtige kompetencer.

Beliggenheden er enestående, det findes næppe skønnere i DK. Stenkast fra klipper og Østersøen, med perfekt view over Gudhjem havn, byen og klippekysten.
Fint værelse, god seng, ikke prangende, men pænt rengjort.
Det helt særlige ved stedet, foruden beliggenheden, er den høje standard på service. Stedet drives af unge mennesker fra især Sydamerika, der taler perfekt engelsk. Deres opmærksomhed og smilende servicering er helt særegen og i topklasse. Lækker og rigelig morgenmad.
Min allerbedste anbefaling til kortere eller længere ophold.

Afmålt men høflig betjening. Ingen engagement i gæsterne. Værelset var rent men mangelfuldt. Ingen tv/radio og ingen steder at hænge våde håndklæder efter bad. God morgenbuffet med bredt udvalg.
God udsigt fra værelser og restaurant. Unik beliggenhed der fortjener at stemningen og engagement følger med.
