This is a really great hotel - nothing overly fancy or pretentious, but rather a feel-good, authentic hotel with top quality staff, an amazing pool area and an excellent location. We stayed as a family of 4 ( - needed to split up with my wife, as the kids are young, and there are no inter-connecting rooms) and had a great, great time. The staff were super helpful from the minute we got there, and nothing was too much trouble for anyone. In terms of meals, the breakfast (which is all we had there) was great and very good value for money. The pool area is really excellent and is open whenever you like, with a great bar / snack area right there. There are ample pool chairs and umbrellas, and the pool is well maintained. The pool is surrounded on the one side by the garden with trees, which is great. And looking the other direction, you see the hotel, making you feel like you are in France. The hotel facade is amazing. The rooms are practical - ample cupboard space and a nice bathroom. The safe still has a key ( - not a pin), but that too just drives home the old-school, authenticity of the hotel. The only thing I wish I'd known (and I probably should've asked) was the price of the bottles of water we took to the room or drank at the pool - at €6 a bottle, I was hit with a pretty large bill when I left, but that's not the hotels fault. Had I known, I just would've bought a few bottles at one of the supermarkets by the beach. All in all, a great stay at a great hotel. The hotel was one of a few that were suggested to us by some friends that have an apartment in the area (and who we were visiting), and I'm super happy we chose this one. A real gem of a hotel, and one that I will definitely go back to at some point.
