Hotel Tara Becici

The Hotel was part of a package booked with Titan Holidays in the UK. It was built during the Tito era and the upper parts have been upgraded. The entrance is marble and the rooms are basic but clean. However, running warm water is erratic and almost non existent in the early morning. The shock is the Canteen (Restaurant?) where food is served. This is located in the basement and ,is probably unchanged in forty years. It is a buffet and begins with a scrum to get in when doors open. Dinner involves pushing your way to get some of what is offered, if stewed cow hearts in sauce is to your taste, then this will suit you. Much else is deep fried and deeply unappetizing. The hotel caters for local family trade and is designed for them. People cough, splutter and grab food by their hands, Breakfast is little better, the fried eggs, for instance, resemble a frisby and can be held up. There are paper coverings and napkins on tables, staff routinely clear up leaving unused knives and forks and adding others to make a setting. It can be summed up by a surreal staff member, who may have been there from opening, who simply cannot accept the some customers put hot water onto a teabag in a cup. The place resembles images of a holiday camp. Why on earth tour companies book clients here, I do not understand. If it is on a venue in a brochure, query it. If you are considering going independently, don't.

This hotel was on a Titan holiday, please stop using this hotel. NO hot water between 6.00pm & 8.00pm. Food awful and cold. Broken light in bathroom not fixed after reporting twice. NO toaster at breakfast, no cold milk in evening to make tea after dinner. NO butter for bread during dinner, no kettle in room. Floor in dining room not clean, mad scramble for food. Not a 4* hotel.

This hotel is a disgrace. After 12 hours of travelling yesterday we had no hot water for a shower it will be off 6-8 every day apparently. WiFi is so pathetic that you have to go to the hotel lobby to use it. We can’t work the television but reception couldn’t be bothered to explain how to use it. The food can best be described as dismal after you have fought your way through a ten minute scrum in the ghastly restaurant to get to it (probably best not to bother)

Staued Tara hotel from 4.08-11.08 with All-Inclusive. We get room in Magnolia villa, room is very outdated, only bathroom was recently renovated. Tv wasnt working all 7 days of our stay. Repairman never came, we multiple time ask to repair Tv. Cleaning is every two days. Food in this hotel is for people who is living in Eastern Europe, because there was foods like rosole, vinegret, goulash, strogonov and breakfast was omlette bread. In all inclusive you can get only instant Coffee wich was very terrible and wine was too terrible. Food quuality is like 6/10. Guy who works at coffe machine is doing very good job and can see he does what he like. In hotel is one all inclusive bar at a pool and choose not very big. We rented car for one day at hotel advertised car rental. Toyota Yaris 2024 for one day 75 euros with 20 eur deposite and you dont need safety money or credit card. Pool sunbeads 50% of them is with defects, but aundbeads quantity is enough. I rate hotel like 6/10 at Montenegros other hotels

Hotel Tara is my worst experience ever😩 We stayed at Tara Villas. The room has old furniture, Tv didn’t work for 4 days, wifi didn’t work for 3 days, room telephone didn’t work at all! We had half board , breakfast was ok, dinner was catastrophe every day! We booked Tara holidays at Kompas Slovenian tourist agency . They have a representative there but she didn’t show! The last day we had problem to find out at what time the van will pick us up to drive us to Podgorica airport. Can not recommend Tara hotel at all! And don’t book your hollidays at Kompas travel agency!!!

This is the worst hotel in this region. From the very beginning of our vacation (my six year old boy and me), girls on reception were very unprofessional. We got room with the wall infront of window (1 meter), with air condition which was too loud and wasn't working properly, there was no cold air from it, just the room air... Food is very poor quality, just a few meals and the same every day, plates are dirty, if you want eggs omelette or pancakes you have to wait in line minimum 10 minutes, personal is so unpleasant. If you ask for something to bring, they will say ok and you will never get it. My friend son and I eat the same and both of us had stomach problems that day. After the first evening and dinner in this hotel, I was paid dinner every next evening in the neighbor hotel Montenegro, which is for tree classes better than this hotel. Rooms are renovated but house keeping servis is terrible. For 11 days, 2 times made our beds. Neither one clean the bathroom. The only part of the hotel where personal is ok is on the pool and beach. I was in all hotels in the neighbor and this one is the worst. It really could be good hotel, it has great location and potential but it has to change a lot, at first most of personal and food.

Newly renovated, friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast buffet in a pleasant dining room, excellent location, good airconditioning. We loved it and would happily return. Plenty of lounges and public spaces, comfortably furnished, with extra facilities: wide screen TV lounge, pool tables, a ping pong table, exercise room, real grass around the pool area. I had a question, and the next morning the general manager introduced himself and gave me excellent information.

The hotel lobby, rooms, pool and garden are recent, nice and clean. The overall look corresponds to a 3-4* hotel. The beach is within a 5 minutes distance by foot. The downside of this hotel is mainly the food and food related hygiene. The standard hygiene habits are not respected in the dining room: the cutlery and serviettes are set on the tables but are not changed after the guests use the spot if they "look clean". The staff only removes obviously used cutlery and completes the set on the table. If utensils fall on the floor, they are picked up and put back on the tables. There was a gastrointestinal infection spreading around the hotel, while we were staying here. We saw a lady being taken by an ambulance directly from the dining room after having vomited. The vomits were cleaned fast, but not carefully disinfected. The measures taken to stop the spread of the infection were not adequate. To my knowledge, numerous guests and staff members got infected, including my family and me. Later that day, there was a hotel employee passing from room to room to count the number of infected guests. The food choice was rather small and food was often not well prepared: undercooked chicken with blood by the bone, undercooked rice, overcooked and oversalted potatoes (repeatedly), egg shell pieces in the scrambled eggs... We had trouble choosing something we would not be afraid to eat. The hotel staff is rather unwilling and makes you feel like you bother them every time you speak to them. The reception, dining room, beach and pool bar - everywhere it is the same. To be fair, this seems to be a countrywide standard behavior, as we met the same approach in all the restaurants we visited. Nevertheless, it did not make us feel welcome here. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Where to start? We arrived at the hotel to learn that the tour operator, Love Holidays, had booked us into the annex. The room was a big let down. Filthy fridge, dirty, sticky surfaces, no WiFi, a municipal ball court yards from the back door and the building was sandwiched between two very busy roads. Desk staff very unhelpful and refused to move us . Eventually managed to speak to the manager who was very helpful but couldn’t move us as the hotel was fully looked. To cap it all, when we were checking out , despite having paid in advance through the tour operator, we were asked to pay for the room. The situation was quickly remedied as we had all the relevant paperwork but it was an unpleasant and unnecessary end to the holiday.
