Hotel Mousai - Adults Only

the hotel is an absolute beauty. From the moment we stepped off the transportation we were blown away. The grounds are amazing and the cobblestones add a unique touch of Puerto Vallarta. The design inside the entrance was beautifully unique. we waited for our concierge and was checked in quickly. Once we received our bracelets we headed to our room for an amazing view situated on the mountain side with a view of the ocean. our room had a mini bar and a hot tub on the patio. Our room was so warm and inviting that we didn't want to leave it. The hotel took note of our anniversary celebration by providing chocolate covered strawberries and champagne on ice. Totally amazing . Our butler Greta was so professional and took care of all our dinner arrangements. She made sure to mention our celebration and we received the recognition with a small cake. So classy. We had an amazing time and plan to return again next year. Thank you hotel staff for making this an amazing vacation. Bravo!! The Segovia's

We ended up getting to the property a couple hours before check in but our concierge Franco greeted us at our first step out of our shuttle. His team grabbed our bags as he escorted to the front desk. We had 3 rooms booked and they were able to give us 2 of them adjoining. We had to wait a couple hours to check in but we got our bracelets, a quick tour and sat down for some lunch a few drinks while we waited! Smooth check in process! The service from housekeeping to bartenders to pool servers were all so friendly and fast! The pool food was great for snacking on. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety of choices. Drinks were mostly small unless you asked for a bigger glass, which was never an issue. All 3 of our rooms were pretty clean and housekeeping kept up with everything pretty well! The beach was a great spot for sunsets. Few vendors around but they weren’t too much of a bother. Not much of a swimming style beach due to how rough it was at the time we visited. The lobby bar was a good time in the evening with live music! All in all, we would definitely head back!
Secrets Vallarta Bay

Enjoyable all-inclusive resort experience right on the beach. Several pools to choose from with a variety of bars and restaurants throughout Secrets as well as on the Dreams side of the resort. Lots of different types of cuisine for different palettes and dietary needs. None of the food was bad but nothing I had really blew me away either. It was nice not having to make reservations at any of the dining places and the longest we had to wait for a table for 2 was maybe 10 minutes at the fancy Italian place. Marketing staff near the front lobby are pretty pushy about adding on spa/dinner/wine packages and make you sit through a spiel at check-in to try to get you to spend more. Concierge was very helpful with questions about logistics around town and the bellhop/valet staff were all friendly and attentive. Bringing a rental car in and out of the hotel was really easy.
The Hacienda at Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta- All Inclusive

An interesting stay to stay the least. Before coming to this resort my boyfriend and I did as much research as we possibly could and we noticed how the reviews were so mixed varying between 10/10 down to 2/10. Still we were optimistic as it is advertised as a 4 star resort and the photos made it look phenomenal. Once we got there though the problems began to pile up. Firstly - we did not get a room for almost 5 hours, the wait was actually insane and we kept getting told “30 more minutes” about 4 times. Once we did finally get a room, it was dirty, no water bottles or towels, and the toilet didn’t work. We tried to move past it as we were on vacation and told ourselves we wouldn’t be in the room that much anyways. If you want to go to the restaurants, they only book on the day of and they fill up sometimes before 9am. I was waking up at 5:30 every morning just to book us in for dinner, and also just know at all the restaurants there’s always a few items they’re out of (it happened everytime at every single one). The food is very hit or miss. Also the app you have to use to actually make the reservations is superrrrr flawed and needs to be updated. The location is amazing on the other hand. Super close to the airport and about a 10 minute drive to the city. We would just uber and it would be insanely cheap. The beach is also right there and it’s pretty clean and stunning all around. Our favourite pool was at the Hacienda part of the resort as it had a swim up bar and was much quieter than the pool at Krystal, which would always be packed. 4 days into our stay we asked to get switched into the Hacienda side as we had something taken from our room and also found a very suspicious looking stain on our mattress and at this point we had had enough. We didn’t get waters for 3 days either at this point, we would order room service which never would come, and we had just been fed up. Dominic who I assume is the manager really was amazing with dealing with the problem and he had us switched over immediately and our stay definitely got much better on the other side. Hacienda is definitely the way to go if you’re planning on going here - rooms way cleaner, water stocked everyday, and just so much more peaceful. I probably will not be staying here again but the Hacienda is something I would consider. Bookers beware

We had the best time and the best stay. The bed was so comfortable and we had a hot tub on our balcony! The food and drinks were fantastic and the beach was so relaxing. Miguel at the bar was great and Lucy helped us with everything we needed. I highly recommend!
Casa Velas Adults Only All Inclusive

My husband and I spent 9/13 nights of our honeymoon as Casa Velas. We chose this hotel because of its great reviews, and it was one of only a few adults only ‘highly rated’ hotels. We had a wonderful time, which, in most didn’t disappoint. Pros The location of this hotel is near the marina, you can walk there within 5 to 10 minutes. The area is very safe, it feels very secure and everyone in and around the hotel was very very very friendly. The staff are by far this hotels biggest and best asset. So friendly, accommodating (within what they can do). Ramon and Ulrise worked non stop all day. The rooms are beautiful and are set within ground surrounded by lush trees, flowers and many iguana’s The cocktails were amazing and are exceptional value under the all inclusive, they would make almost anything, even if this wasn’t on the main menu The pool, reception, entrance, gardens and restaurants are immaculate and are constantly being cleaned and tidied. Also some friendly coy carp and turtles (which you can feed) Room for improvement The menu options are limiting, especially if you are staying longer than 4 days. Whilst the food was delicious, we have had some even more amazing food outside of the resort, a more diverse menu would be great for those staying a little longer. Before you travel be sure to check whether there are any events or weddings on during your stay, this was the largest downside by far. When guests arrived for the wedding/event that lasted about five days, our experience was negatively impacted by having to have buffet options for food… the calm, peaceful ambience was also affected. It very much felt like as soon as the wedding parties arrived, other guests were left to experience someone else’s holiday/vacation. Tipping Maybe it is because we are Europeans, and expected tipping isn’t something that we are used to… but considering this is a high end hotel that included tips, it felt strange to then we having to sign for drinks and food and tipping. Not saying that the staff do not deserve to be rewarded for their hard work, this isn’t in question at all, but it did feel a bit off. Whilst we would 100% recommend this hotel to any friends or family staying. We would make the recommendation of a shorter stay as the menu got very repetitive and there’s so many amazing things to see in at around Puerto Vallarta. Value for money 8/10
