A-Rosa Collection Hotel Thurnher's Alpenhof

We had a wonderful few days at Thurner's Alpenhof. The staff are all fabulous and it does feel as though you are being welcomed as one of the family. Dieter was an absolute gentleman as was Kevin. The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of the Trittkopfbahn for easy ski in ski out and the ski bus stops outside the hotel for an easy trip to Lech. The pool and spa is wonderful and the massage a welcome break at the end of a day's skiing. Thank you to everybody at the hotel, this was just the break we needed.

Simply outstanding in every way. Service beyond compare, outstanding food (we chose the Half-Board), beautifully appointed dining, lounge area, and rooms. Our every need was looked after by the expert staff. This hotel provides such a unique, personal, professional, and charming experience, it is not to be missed.

We arrived at Thurnher’s Alpenhof at the end of March for a couple of days and were immediately enchanted by both the hotel itself and the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. From the welcome drinks to the hotel tour, everything was just perfect. One particularly sweet touch was finding pastries waiting for us in our room – such a delightful surprise! The hotel itself is incredibly charming; stepping into it feels like entering a fairytale, with its stunning bar, restaurant, lobby, spa, and the rooms are just a masterpiece - old-fashioned, but that's the charm of the entire hotel! The mountain view from our window was mesmerizing! We opted for half-board, and it was a great choice! The cuisine at the hotel is top-notch, everything was incredibly delicious, thoughtful, and tasteful! The bartenders are masters, especially the espresso martini was to die for! The hotel also took care of our ski passes right away and basically all the amenities, leaving us to just enjoy our stay. This is definitely for those who love a luxurious retreat, for both relaxation and, of course, for skiing, as the ski lifts are just 50 meters from the hotel entrance. The only thing that could be slightly improved is the temperature of the pool water; it was a bit too cool for comfortable swimming… Upon departure, the farewell was so personal, warm, and friendly, it felt like we were leaving family rather than just checking out of a hotel. Such a personalized, warm, and friendly approach is something I haven’t encountered in a long time. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel, and we will definitely return! A huge thank you to the hotel team for making our stay unforgettable!

The Staff at Thurnher’s was unbeatable!! They were all very friendly and made us feel at home in Austria. Kevin is the best! If you don’t get a mule from Kevin you are doing yourself a disservice. If you plan to visit the Alberg Ski area, Thurnher’s Alpenhof is the place to stay.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality was wonderful. All the staff, owners and managers were extremely friendly, and very welcoming. The staff at Thurnher’s Alpenhof single handily made our trip. Would highly recommend if you plan to visit Arlberg Ski Area. Make sure to pay Kevin a visit at the hotel bar. The best espresso martini I have ever had.

From the moment we arrived the hospitality was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and all the staff, owners and managers were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food was absolutely superb, wine recommendations were excellent and the variety was exceptional. From fondue to Austrian buffet to excellent 4-course meals. The skiing was great - right next to two lifts in Zurs from where we had access to the whole Arlberg ski area. Helpful advice too as to where the best skiing was to be found from the local resident guide, Roman. For a bit of fun competition, the hotel organised a ski race where generations of skiers from different countries could compete with everyone a winner - gluhwein after the race, champagne at the prize-giving (orange juice for under-age) and even a medal for a veteran! There was a lucky dip one evening to win a massage from the resident masseuse, a cocktail party one evening …I could go on. Plus there were extra activities - table tennis, gym, a pool, sauna, steam room,….All told a wonderful holiday.

We stayed at this hotel for a short ski break. The whole experience was exemplary. From the greeting at the start, including tea and hand made biscuits, to the attentiveness of every single member of staff throughout our whole stay, we were very well looked after. The manager Dieter was a gentleman and showed obvious care for every single one of his guests. The rooms were very comfortable and the food was delicious. The nicest thing was the relaxed homely feel of the hotel. Not a hint of stuffiness to this 5 star hotel. We would thoroughly recommend it.

This is a lovely traditional family run luxury hotel. We were picked up from Munich airport by a great car and driver organised by the Hotel On arrival we were greeted warmly and showen to our lovely traditional Austrian style room. The Bed, Duvet and Pillows are just the best. The maid services in the rooms were fantastic. We had half board so had dinner most evenings a lovely 5 course dinner it was really good food. Breakfast is superb as well, a great Buffet with lots of egg options you can order. The staff in the dining room were superb ! It’s really lovely how at breakfast and dinner the different generations of the family greet you at your table ! The hotel is well located very close to lifts in Zurs the Ski Bus Stop and it’s possible to ski back to the door. A special mention to Roman the hotel ski guide I spent some wonderful days with him he is just one of the best. ! A final thank you to the marvellous reception staff as well I will definitely be coming back to this hotel it’s just so friendly, relaxed and lovely. Nothing is too much trouble ! What a perfect place for families that love fantastic skiing and luxury! The accommodations were wonderful, with a fun pool and spa that was perfect after a full day of skiing with their amazing guide, Roman. The staff was outstanding, from the driver who picked us up from the train station in St. Anton, to the desk staff who helped us settle in ( including a personal welcome from the owner herself and a real Oompah band in the lobby!). The waitstaff in the dining room were also very professional and friendly, and they truly made us feel welcome.
