Just returned from a great family overnight trip to Stanley Villa Farm 🎣 The on-site carp fishing being the main attraction for us, and it didn’t disappoint!! Staff were very welcoming and accommodating, both before and during the visit. Also, they are very quick to respond to any queries via email. We stayed in a lovely pink pod ☺️ There is ample parking close to all of the pods, and several large trolleys next to reception which are very useful for moving luggage with ease from your car to a pod. Our pod was clean and well insulated. We didn’t opt for a heated pod, however even if we did, we wouldn’t have needed it (beginning of October). Arranging the two single beds into an ‘L’ shape does make the most of the space when you need to lay an air bed down - a good tip from the site’s website. There is a heated communal lodge, with seating, a couple of fridges and freezers, kitchen with a microwave. The lodge is quite large - great for when the weather isn’t too kind! Check-out for the pods is 11am, which is good as most sites we’ve stayed in it’s 9am or 10am. Great venue for fishing, the grounds are well maintained. Our son landed 4 good looking healthy carp, all of decent sizes (from a half day’s fishing on one rod). Pegs are not too close to each other and there there is ample space for all your equipment.
