The resort was lovely, very clean, excellent staff and the food was great. They took great care to cater for my son and husband who have allergies, couldn't fault this. The road from Kathmandu to Chitwan is truly awful so be prepared! The journey should only be a a couple of hours but in reality it is about 7! The lodge is in a fantastic location, and you can see so much wildlife just off the balcony. We also did a morning walking safari which was great, we saw lots of wildlife and also the afternoon jeep safari. This could and should have been fantastic but the air quality in Nepal generally was horrendous and unfortunately in Chitwan was the worst! The pollution really got into your lungs and eyes and unfortunately lots of the forest was burning which of course scared many animals away. We did see lots of rhinos and some birds but the air just made it not so enjoyable. I highly recommend bringing N95 masks. I wouldn't recommend travelling to Chitwan in April, had we known about the air quality we would have come at a different time, but in the wet season I can see how amazing it would be, this coupled with the excellent, friendly and attentive staff I would recommend staying here.
