Fantastic, Friendly Knowledgable Staff, Clean Comfortable Rooms with Bathroom Amenities and Tea, Coffee etc - Great Location and has a pool which would be great in summer

Staff were very helpful and friendly. My room was a little tight, had there of been two of us we would have been cramped. Having said that it is in a good position and not expensive.

The hotel is very conveniently situated for the town centre. The room was comfortable but the bathroom was very scruffy, tired and in need of renovation. In particular the shower cubicle was mouldy and needed replacing.

My last stay at Hotel de Bordeaux was more than 40 years ago on the way to holidays in Spain. Of course, it would be both unfair and untrue to say that nothing has changed. However, I can say that many things in the place looked quite familiar. The reason for this is that the hotel building has been modernised and renovated, but not fully restructured. Corridors remain narrow and dark. Closets in the room have remained untouched. Rooms are relatively small but not of an uncommon size by French standards. However, bathrooms were really tiny, making it difficult for more than one person to be in the bathroom at the same time. The room was quiet as it looked over the internal patio. Parking in front of the hotel was very easy and is free of charge on weekends. I had a coffee next to the pool in the morning, but I didn't have breakfast. This is a pleasant area to stay as well as a rare feature for a city hotel. Despite some limitations, Hotel de Bordeaux is a good option for a stay in Bergerac.

The Hotel De Bordeaux is lovely, situated near to the centre of Bergerac, just a short walk from the old town and river. Our room was very clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The staff at the hotel are friendly and efficient, they do everything they can to make guests feel welcome. There is no bar but guests can order drinks at Reception, service is prompt. There is a lovely rear garden with comfortable seating and a swimming pool. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and items are replenish quickly, good coffee. Evening meals were provided for our coach party, however, they were rather disappointing, there is no choice of menu and, basically, you get what you’re given. Overall, a very good hotel with excellent staff.

We also enjoyed a Shearings holiday at this lovely hotel. The room was fairly small but clean with a very comfortable bed and good air con. The breakfasts were superb with very attentive staff topping up everything. A beautiful garden out the back with an enclosed swimming pool was really lovely. A very peaceful spot to sunbathe and have a dip. The evening meals brought in were certainly not gourmet! Basic and a bit bland. All in all, a lovely hotel on the edge of beautiful Bergerac which has so much to offer. The Cathedral is absolutely stunning. The owner of the hotel is very helpful and friendly to his guests and works very hard.

just back from shearings holiday on 18th June lovely hotel great swimming pool and staff were fantastic manager couldn't do enough for you,food was a bit hit or miss but I am a fussy eater,the rooms were a bit dated but spotless and aircon was the best I've had no bar but place your order at reception and they will bring it to you great service we will return

The rooms are clean and the staff are excellent but the hotel is a little bit tired. Breakfast was very good. Gardens and pool were a bonus at the end of a hard day. No restaurant in house but there is a nice cafe 100 m down the street by the church. Drinks in the bar were reasonably priced for France. We stayed 6 nights which was may be too long for this type of hotel.
