Apartamentos Amalia by Mc

Stayed here as a couple over the Easter Break for 10 nights. We were just looking for a cheap & cheerful getaway as we have another big holiday planned, this also fell on our 10 year wedding anniversary. Firstly, we booked a private transfer from the airport as if you go with a shared one you get dropped off down the road and round the corner from the apartments which is worth noting. When we arrived, we were met with Jordi, what a lovely man. Check in was easy, he is very friendly and full of information if you have not been to Benidorm before. We were in Room 5B, room itself was a good size, all rooms separate. The balcony is just absolutely massive! There isn’t too much wardrobe space and also only one very small full length mirror in the hallway but we managed. Beds were comfy but I found the pillow a little hard, still slept fine every night. As it was end of March we were there, we didn’t use the air con but it is situated above the front door so if you were there in the height of summer you would need to leave all the doors of the apartment open for it to cool the apartment down. Kitchen was great, full size fridge plus some thoughtful gifts left of the cleaning pack and the little tins of cocktails. TV in the living room has quite a few English speaking channels including Channel 4 and E4+1. The bathroom is fine, it could probably do with an upgrade, it done us fine whilst we were there and we had no issues but I would love to get rid of shower curtains in this world, they are just a pain. Water temp was ok dependent on what time you had you shower and the water power was really good. The location of the apartments for us was the main selling point, right in the centre of town. If you go out and walk along Calle Ibiza that takes you right to the main area in the new town, if you go out, turn right, and walk down it takes you straight to the lovely old town which is where we spent most of our time. It is also only about 5/10 mins walk down to the beach. The little café under the apartments does really nice food, can highly recommend. What sells these apartments really is what most other people have mentioned and that is the staff. Jordi and the staff in the café really are lovely. We had a bit of an issue with not receiving notification of when our transfer was arriving to pick us up to go home and Jordi took the time to call the office (spent a lot of time on hold) and sorted everything out which we really appreciated. Also, on the day of our wedding anniversary when we came back from the beach we had been left a lovely bottle of fizz, glasses and a certificate to congratulate us on 10 years marriage, it was a really nice touch. The all important question, would we stay here again? Yes, I really think I would, it suited us for what we needed for our trip, no complaints.

Nice apartments in a really good location with a very helpful and friendly guy in reception. Room basic but clean although not much space to put clothes. I see some apartments had seperate drawers but ours didn’t so half our clothes had to be kept in our case. We were on the top floor (9th) which was not a problem but you could hear everything in the next apartments, tele, conversations, coughing, toilet trips, you name it. Wasn’t too bothered until the new arrivals in the room below us decided to come home at 4-6am every morning slamming doors and talking loudly. We didn’t come home until til 1/2am ourselves but got woken up every night from about 4am onwards so for that reason we wouldn’t stay here again. If you’re a heavy sleeper then not a problem or definitely bring some ear plugs! Guys that run the bar directly below apartments were great and if we come back to Benidorm we will definitely be dropping in to see Gabriel and Gabriella.

Our group of 6 here stayed here for 3 nights via an Easyjet Package holiday and it was excellent. Jordi on reception was brilliant and Romeo in the attached bar/cafe was great. The rooms were great, perfect for our group and communication with the hotel pre-arrival was excellent. Easy check in and check out, great location for both the new and old towns, 5 minute walk to the beach and 10 munute walk to the late night clubs of the new town. Would definitely stay here again!

We arrived at mid day and were welcomed by Jordi. We hoped to drop our bags off but the apartment was ready which was a welcome bonus to start our holiday. The apartment itself has everything you need for a self catering stay, and a cleaning pack meaning we could wash up and do a clothes wash which is a big help. Shower is good and powerful but make sure you tuck the curtain in. Very spacious balcony, the pool area was a good size and clean but the pool was not warm enough to use yet for us! The attached cafe does a great breakfast and strong coffee, the staff are very friendly. Jordi gave us tips on what to do, we mentioned we walk a lot and be told us of some walks we didn’t know about and they were a highlight of the holiday. For flitting between old and new town this is a perfect location. I would happily return and recommend these apartments.

We had a fantastic long weekend in Benidorm. The apartments were great: location was good: but the service was outstanding, Jodi was such a lovely person, he gave us lost of support and advice, so helpful.would definitely stay there again.

Great stay as ever. Lovely welcome, by the staff, when we arrived. Great apartment, lovely and clean. Shower good power in it and toiletries provided. Coffee machine with pods as a great extra. Perfect location, close to everything. Lovely balcony area.

Excellent location for both Old and New town balcony was so big would be great in the summer months. Apartment was lovely and clean we had everything we needed for our weeks stay. Didn't like the plastic sheet on bed and pillows wasn't comfortable at all Overall a great stay .

The lady upon check in, whose name I have forgotten, was super helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by the Apartment as it was huge, including the balcony. Very centrally located and a 5 minute walk from a direct bus from the Airport - think.it was the Alma. We didn't use the cooking facilities but the fridge was very big and kitchen seemed to have all the supplies. It was clean. The furniture was a bit shabby and my only criticism is that the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. It would be nicer to have a duvet rather than blankets. Overall very good value for our 4 night stay.

These apartments are in a great location close to the old town. They are basic but clean & well equipped. 1 bedroom with 2 beds & a pull out couch in the living room. Tbh think they are more suited to 2 or 3 guests. Air con is heating in the winter & once turned on was really cosy. Keep the living room & bedroom door open heat travels. Large balconies but in the winter try to get A or B numbers they get more sun. Kitchen well equipped microwave toaster kettle coffee maker. Hob no oven. Fridge freezer. Washing machine. Welcome pack contains washing up liquid dish cloth extra bin liner & washing machine tablet. Need to bring a tea towel & we bought extra bin liners. Stayed a week towels changed once. (Large fluffy bath towels). Jordi was on holiday but Maria in the office was very helpful. Cafe downstairs does a great English breakfast for €5 recommend. No BBC1 but ITV channels & Ch4. Some of the apartments are let out long term in the winter I can see why. First time doing SC we really enjoyed it. Lots of good places to eat & drink within walking distance.
