The resort is very nice, the location is perfect. However, when we first arrived the water wasn't working. It was then fixed but it looks a yellowy colour. Insect repellent doesnt seem to be working in the room ( its a plug in one) the lady sprayed the room on day one which worked but apparantly they have run out of it. We had an early start and the breakfast in the lounge was our only option, the bread/ croissant were roxk hard and dry. Other then that the usual breakfast is ok. I would recommend getting the edge water reservation for dinner the good is better then the Mercardo. We got half board but the catch is that ypu have to pay for drinks and water, which you obviously can't eat the food without, we came for are honeymoon and expected it to be included not having to pay extra for drinks. Lastly we found a waiter who was amazing and has sorted us out this trip, his name is Muzammal, he has literally made it amazing at the outrigger!

Check in by Krishna was very cold & not welcoming. Surprised that this individual is allowed to check guests in. Cold , no smile, rushed, unpleasant. I was not done finishing my welcome drink and he was in a rush to bring us to our room.
Rod, front desk manager, nice & welcoming. Ensures guests are happy.
Resort: older resort in need of renovation. Reminded me of cuban resorts. Old furniture, dated AC but blows nice cold air. Generous room space.
Check out: unfortunately got krishna again while checking out. This gentlemen needs to quit his job. I was speaking in english and he continuously answered back in creole. I had to tell him if knows how to speak in english as my wife does not speak Creole. Bad bad service.

Had the best time ever at Outrigger. Staff was superb, great, very very kind, lovely and so helpful. Love the food. Wow the food and drinks especially cocktails superb. Very nice hotel and will be back soon and I highly recommend this hotel. The best ive been so far❤️❤️❤️ Diksha, Yoven, Ashley, Sharonne, Eveleen and All the staff thank you very much... special thanks to Yoven and his team also Diksha and her team. ++ The pillows are the best I ever felt! ++ The food was great and diversified! ++ The rooms are big and very comfortable! ++ The employees were all helpful and friendly. I even played football with them! - The excursion for visiting dolphins which was suggested by an employee from hotel was terrible and non-animal friendly ! A lot of boats chasing the poor dolphins without any respect of the animals! I recommend the hotel to stop the connection with the company doing this excursion! - The hotel needs some serious renewals as for example the bridge in the foto which is broken and other stuff overall the hotel too.

We had the most wonderful stay at the Outrigger Resort. We were a group of five friends and everything was spot on. The staff were incredible and super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to Arvesh,Nitesh,Stephen and all the staff who helped us throughout our stay, I would recommend this hotel, location to anyone thinking of coming to Mauritius.

We had a really nice stay at the hotel! The housekeeping was good and also the food very great. The beachside was very beautiful. The service was great and the manager Dinson was really kind and helped us with everything! Definetely want to come back some time!

The hotel is undeniably beautiful, with stunning surroundings and well-maintained facilities. The staff, particularly Runga & Shaffiy, provided exceptional service. They were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Special thanks to the chef who prepared fresh juice and food for my 8-month-old baby, which was the highlight of our stay. Kudos to the valets for swiftly resolving a car issue with professionalism and discretion. However, our experience was marred by disappoin**ents with the Reservation and Front Office teams. Despite mentioning my wife's recent birthday and requesting a cake to surprise her, the arrangement was not fulfilled, leaving us feeling let down. Additionally, despite requesting a room close to the restaurants due to having a baby and unpredictable weather, we were allocated a room at the far end of the beachfront. Overall, our stay was a mix of highs and lows. While the exceptional service from certain staff members made our experience memorable, the lapses in communication and room allocation were disappointing.
