Beijing Gubei XingKong Villa

This is a good budget option if you want to stay overnight near Gubei Watertown - but there are serious limitations. It was very confusing and quite stressful when we first arrived at the location provided - we couldn’t find the address given, but a local lady was very helpful and called the owners/managers for us and then a driver came to collect us. The address given is a meeting point, not the location of where you are actually staying. It was as we were driven to the 2 apar**ents (not rooms in an individual villa) that I realised we were not staying in or right at the Watertown as I thought we were. It was a 5-10 minute drive away. To be clear the managers were very friendly and always available on WeChat and the driver took us to and from the Watertown whenever we liked so that was fine - but it means you have to pay entry every time you enter the Watertown - which is expensive - so just take that cost into account. There also didn’t seem to be anywhere to eat at the apar**ent complex either but perhaps we couldn’t find it (it was a huge complex) so I recommend you eat before you go or take (especially breakfast) food with you. I booked two rooms with a view. One room had a GREAT view of the Great wall (photo included) and the other looked at nondescript trees and grass the other direction. Mainly I went on this special trip with my older parents to Gubei so it was disappointing that we weren’t really staying together in a villa - we were in a giant apar**ent building on separate floors.

First of all, the caring services provided by the lady and her staff were wonderful. They contacted us the day before we arrived and provided many tips and information. When we arrived at the bus station, they provided pick-up and also free taxi service to the local restaurants. The accommodation is modern and clean, you can also cook which is an added bonus. However, there are plenty of good restaurants around outside of the theme park. The views from the flats are stunning. Wish I could upload some pictures. I can definitely recommend it. 5 stars for sure.

I am very satisfied with the room quality and service at this hotel. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, and well-equipped. However, the hotel's location is not convenient, as it's quite far from the city center and main tourist attractions. The hotel staff also offers a car shuttle service, which somewhat compensates for the inconvenient location. I will definitely return and use the services of this hotel again.

the house is clean and give a cozy a**osphere. boss is so polite they take us to the house and even give a ride to back. Btw bed mattress is thin but yet so comfy. I love it. best reccomend

We had a 1 day trip to Gubei Watertown. We actually booked another hotel unfortunately there were some trouble happened so we found this hotel through Tripcom Customer Support. The owner is really kind and accommodating. He picked us up and also sent us to the parking lot where we parked our car. It took few minutes from the place we stayed in. If ever you go to Gubei Watertown I highly recommend this accommodation.

The information and location of this hotel is totally deceptive. They claim to be located next to the Watertown but when you get to the location they throw you into a shuttle and drive you first about 5kilometers away in the middle of nowhere. So every time you need to go to the Watertown you need to summon them so they can pick you up with the shuttle bus

This hotel was not what I expected as on the map it seemed it was inside the Watertown when in fact it is up in the mountains. Every time you wish to access the water town you need to wait for a car to take you, which during the weekend many times we waited over an hour for it to arrive. There is no taxi so you have no choice. You also have to pay 140¥ each time you enter the Watertown. It is not included. The room itself was fine, the bed was very hard and thin, but it was clean, nicely decorated, and had a fridge and balcony and a mini kitchen setup. We had issues with the water shutting off, or the toilet could not flush but usually they were able to fix it. Only a small roll of toilet paper was provided for 4 people and the room was never cleaned during our stay. On the bright side the owner was very kind through the phone but we never met her. I think the main issue was that it is not a good option for foreigners. We were asked to provide police documentation from Beijing which we brought with us. Upon arrival at the gate they told us it was not acceptable and that we had to visit the local police station. They would not even bring us there. Normally the hotel is able to do this registration themselves but instead we wasted another 2 hours going and we're still scrutinized and waited another half hour at the gate before they would let us enter. There is no front desk for check in. This should not be listed as a hotel, instead it should be listed as HOMESTAY. Fortunately we had one chinese speaker with us but if not we would never have managed. The Watertown itself is beautiful and I highly recommend to find a place to stay inside as we spent more money going in and out every time and wasted a lot of time.

雖然貴點，但在景區裏面，玩累了可以回去休息，還不錯，超級幫的一次體驗，物超所值，酒店特別氣派，外觀內觀裝修精緻大氣，又有中式風格。午餐在酒店吃的，環境氛圍很好，窗户外就能看到小石子路和山，風景美。還有游泳池健身房。房間很大，給我們免費升級了房間，甚至水龍頭的水還是直飲水。早上的自助早餐品種大概有上百種，中式西式都有，好幸福。並且退宿時候還有免費寄存的服務，很不錯！下次有機會再來。

第三次來古北水鎮，這次還是和長者孩子一塊來的，這次住的古北星空別墅。 位置交通： 古北星空在景區中心，可以乘坐擺渡車，去各個景點都很方便，帶長者孩子的話，可以選擇這裏，比水鎮大酒店方便很多。 房間設施： 房間配套了咖啡機，膠囊咖啡不錯。 游泳池： 泳池人不多，水很乾凈。 早餐： 早餐比較豐富，有小餛飩，豆腐腦等小吃，相對而言古北星空的早餐要更豐富一點。
