Mercure Beijing City Centre

Ok for the room because it's very big 👍 Good Location! Surrounding by many shops. But when I came here I try to search english name "mercure beijing city centre" of this hotel in Didi application but can't find (Luckily have Chinese help me with this , thank you☺️) I hope you can change to english name in Didi to easily find and easily come. By the way, at first i thought this hotel is very near to Sanlitun so I chose here (Actually if by walking take very long time... So tired 😥)

The hotel is well located and clean, and it is really beautifully and functionally fitted as well. Unfortunately that's where it all stops. I arrived at the hotel and was checked in by unsmiling, unwelcoming and terribly unhelpful front desk. The girl that checked me in in the afternoon was really quite unpleasant to say the least. Thought this was an international hotel, but all the staff at the reception knew little English. I met the front desk girl again the next morning when checking out, still no smiling and not offering to help. A different girl did help me eventually, for which I was very grateful. I have been staying in the Sofitel and Novotel hotels numerous times in Australia and China, as well as the non-Accor hotels elsewhere in the world, I would not hesitate to rank the front desk service at this Mercure to be the worst I have come across. This is particularly disappointing after having an amazing stay at the Novotel in Yencheng City a day before. Such a contrast!

The location of the hotel is quite good. It’s in downtown so pretty much close to everything!. The place was clean and welcoming and the staff was quite helpful as well. I was only disappointed that no tooth brush and toothpaste or comb were provided. There was a restaurant located on the 5th floor and the food was okay, I only had breakfast which was apart of my package. They had a mixture of western and Chinese food. The hotel also has a lovely gym and nice lobby area. I stayed for 4 days and had a comfortable stay! Would definitely recommend.

Nice and spacious. Employees are nice but none of them speaks English while it's located in a district full of foreign tourists. Breakfast is ok. Real fruit juice and some wester options (such as real cheese, cold cut and break from a proper bakery) would be a plus (it's Beijing, that's not so difficult to find). In the lobby, there are 2 jerseys of the French football team "Paris Saint Germain". Accord hotel group is one their sponsors, but that can be seen as very offensive by customers who don't agree with the foreign policy of the Canadian owner of the team (the state of Qatar, famous for financing ********************************).

I love this hotel. Everytime I visit Beijing, I stay here. It's in a great location, close to restaurants and bars. The staff is super helpful, and everything is clean and generally on point. I really enjoy staying here.

A pleasant stay at PEK. This hotel location can take you to most of the city's tourist attractions quickly and conveniently.

It's a nice hotel that is clean and with good service, rhe breakfast had a good variety of food. The temperature of the air-conditioning in the room was fixed cause it was not yet summer and this was a minor annoyance as it was a bit too warm for my husband and me. The receptionist however was very helpful and arranged a fan for us upon our request which solved the problem. Though it might be worth mentioning that this particular Mercure hotel is not managed by Accor so you don't get any Accor loyalty points for your bookings. Location wise it's convenient for us when taking shared rides, but not so much if you rely on metro.
