The service at Bahia Principe was really quite good. Friendly workers at the front desk and concierge/transportation kiosk really helped. The facilities at Bahia Principe are not up to snuff however. The room was old and tired- in need of much care. For example, there were five lamps/lights in the room and two had light bulbs out. My wife wanted to read at night but there was not enough lighting in the room to even read a book for 15 minutes. The small fridge never worked. But the ants on the coach took the cake. No, they literally were on the hunt for cake in the room! If you want a really solid looking property then book at Ambar, not Principe.
On a positive note the mattress and pillows were comfortable.
One other note and seemed very kid friendly... But the property is huge! So huge that many people will want to take the trams to the beach- which was packed and not the best beach in Punta Cana. Later today I will be reviewing the Majestic Colonial which we also stayed in for a week. Want treated like you're a king or queen? Look at the Majestic properties which were worth the extra pesos.

Staff are attentive and helpful. Very much recommended and definitely one place I plan to come back to. The entertainment and food are awesome! The beach area is not the best due to build up of sea**** but that’s nature and they do their best to keep on top of that. The various pool areas and fun make up for it. Thank you Bahia Punta Cana!

Foodat the buffet isnt great but if you pay extra for luxury its really good. Restaurants are really good. Pool and night club are fun for all ages 20-30 year olds will have a great time. Also, staffmember nelson by the pool is amazing went out of his way to help me every time i was in need! Great staff very nice, fun and helpful

It was a cheaper option, and the rule of thumb is that you pay for what you get. However having a mosquito issue on the rooms and every part of the hotel os not acceptable

very comfortable resort, beautifull pools, great beach is awesome. food was good,
it does feel like the resort is old and needs upgrading, a few items where annoying, some lights didnt in the room, WIFI was terrible, safe was not working, the AC was intermittent some of the power outlets were broken, they need more coffee stations or Bars around the resort

First when we got there and was directed to one place, then we were told that they had to accommodation at that particular place for us. Then we finally got our room elsewhere, prior to being we were promised two double beds, and a flat screen T.V. on the wall. I was four of us and they provided one king size bed. It was like pulling teeth for them to rectify the issue. Following approx two days they brought a small bed to us. The WIFI did not work in side the room, it only worked in the lobby dining room area. The cleaning staff was not competent, we had to keep calling for face cloth & bath towels. When she did clean we had to go all over her work. I was very disappointed with such service.

I stayed 4 nights with my sister at Bahia Prince Grand Punta Cana. The resort is very beautiful. They take care very well the landscape and properties, but they don’t take care the guests well. The air conditioning from our room wasn’t working. I report since day one and spoke to least 4 people about it. They could not fix the problem and only gave us other room on the 3rd day. There are many staffs but they don’t seem well trained. Most of them weren’t very friendly or welcoming… there are 5 restaurants but we only could have reservation for 2 nights. Many times we can find plates and silverware in the buffet restaurant.

Beautiful property. A little dated but well kept. Wi-Fi didn’t work in the room but worked very well in the common areas. Staff was very accommodating. Shuttle carts worked around the clock. Many excursions to choose from. Entertainment was great. Would definitely go again but might try one of the other hotels on property
