Very convenient being on the LSU campus. The university shuttle/bus stops at the hotel and some of the main campus buildings. The hotel is also convenient walking to certain buildings.
Complementary breakfast was very good with a wide variety of breakfast options
We were there for freshman acceptance day, and enjoyed running into other LSU alumni who were very nice and encouraging.

The property is in a beautiful location with views of the lake. Staff are consistently helpful and the rooms are nicely decorated and clean.

As usual The Cook Hotel was amazing. The staff was inviting and very understanding to certain conditions from a storm that rolled thru, causing us to get there late. They allowed me to checkout at 1pm. All the linens were brand new and the snack bar was well priced. The only thing I felt could have been a bit better was breakfast. For such an amazing place, an amazing breakfast would have been the icing on the cake for me and I’m sure others. Regardless of that, and our short stay for a baseball workout with LSU, everything was excellent!

Extremely unprofessional. Booked on ******* and prepaid already. I was asked and had to pay on the front desk again on checking in. Ridiculous. Extremely bad experience. Not recommended for sure.

This location is not only convenient and beautiful, but it is truly a hidden gem. We parked, checked in, and walked to and from dinner at Chimes near campus. We felt safe and are very pleased with the room. It’s much more spacious than I thought it would be. Would stay here again for any future trips to LSU or the Baton Rouge area.

Rooms were smaller than expected. View of a wall from window. Breakfast options were not the best. Juices were like colored water. Pool was dirty. I was given a handicapped room?
Location was great. Staff were friendly. Hotel was quiet.
