The hotel is older. The shower room in the picture room is open, and the absence of a door causes too much moisture. The whole room was sprinted with moist odor, which was unpleasant in the long run. Do not really look at the so-called Ctrip, booking star standards. Many of the five-star hotels are pits! !! !! !! The rating is also pit! !! !! When choosing a hotel, you still have to choose a relatively new one, as well as a big brand hotel chain, at least not worse. The hotel barranqilla plaza next door is even worse, not even a few dozen yuan hotel. Booking is actually rated five stars, rated 8.4-9.1! !! !! Super invincible pit! !! Because it is not convenient to travel with products on a business trip, I stayed at the barranqilla plaza for one night and moved to this hotel next door. It is a little better but really not so good! !! Worst experience on a business trip. Please choose a new hotel, new! !!

I cannot say anything nice or anything bad about this place overall. The air-conditioning feels like it is not working well. The desk staff doesn’t appear overly helpful but not necessarily rude. Just mainly indifferent to us. The “revolving” restaurant is only open four hours a day and you must make a reservation, the desk cannot do it. I have stayed practically everywhere in this area when we come to see my in-laws. I was surprised at how mediocre it is. The housekeeping staff is friendly, we always leave a propeno. There was a university having a recruiting event here. I have stayed at better but was always told this hotel was the premier. The location would be its biggest selling point to me, we have family two blocks over. If the service was better and the restaurant was open later I would call it 4 star, it is not five star.

This hotel is really good, the location is OK, the service is good, the hotel rooms are large and spacious, very clean, and the price is very affordable, it is highly recommended.

I have throughly enjoyed my stay at the Bqlla Plaza, to the point that I’ve extended my stay twice. I initially booked for two nights and decided to spend the first half of my vacation here. The staff is friendly, professional, and very attentive, the facility is exceptional for anyone from the tourist to the businessperson. As a veteran special events director I was especially appreciative of the level of quality exhibited on a wedding held on the grounds. Top that off with the ambiance of the pool area and the beautiful, full buffet, including eggs cooked to order, and you’ve got the makings of a memory. Can’t recommend them highly enough- special shout outs to Wilbur in the lounge and Kareme at the front desk!

The credit card was stolen the second time after check-in. I was told that I bought the ticket online. It was probably taken by the front desk when I checked in. Keep your eyes on the credit card when you check in!

Saturday September 16 - Receptionist was extremely rude questioning why I was in the country and my documentation. I asked about my reservation, my family member needed a place to stay for two nights. Since one of my initial reservations was two queen beds I asked if that was easier or just adding the room. My reservation was for 1 person, with a king sized bed. The receptionist said I had to pay in full at once for my 1 person, with a king sized bed room. Come to find she charged me an additional $500 from the original reservation. I was stuck paying for a double room for 8 nights at $500 more than any reservation I already had. When I questioned the cost, that they had already charged to my accounts, I was told I needed to contact the third party company I had booked through or could leave but there are no refunds. Last year when I visited this hotel we were treated with kindness and respect, which is why I chose to return. This time I was treated like a criminal. Once to our room, there was a lizard in the room!!! Running around!!! Extremely frustrated and scared, I returned to the reception to share my findings for them to roll their eyes and change my room. They said lizards are native to the land and very common. At dinner - The waiter dropped waters on my aunt, then forgot my other aunts meal, then the manager came to argue about tips because my mom wanted to confirm the tip went to our waiter after over hearing the manager shout at the employee. The manager said he gets his cuts and the tips are distributed through the entire staff whether she likes it or not. Friday September 22 - During my breakfast I was not acknowledged by any employees. As I almost finished my meal..There were cockroaches crawling around the tables .. At the end of the night, as I arrived to the hotel room, I asked for toiletries as the given quantities are minimal and so with this heat I find myself showering at least twice/day - Then the attendant asked why I was using so many toiletries. September 22 - I sent 3 clothing items to the laundry - My bodysuit (blouse) was ruined. It was returned with yellow bleach stains all over the straps. This is absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever experienced at any hotel in my entire life.

From reading other reviews I expected a high quality hotel but I felt that this hotel is a bit tired and the room was poorly maintained. We booked for three people but the room was only set for two, we didn’t have enough towels. The reception staff were very good. The rooftop bar and pool area is tired and not maintained well. The service staff made us feel like an inconvenience. The menu is limited to fish, meat and cheese dishes so if you are vegan there is nothing to eat and none of the options are healthy food. The breakfast was ok but they don’t have decaffeinated coffee or black tea. The bread was all stale. The yogurt was like a drink rather than properly set yogurt. In the end I had an ok breakfast but they could do it much better with the same resources. Our room wasn’t very clean in every corner in the bathroom there was a build up of dirt you would have to assume a vacuum cleaner is never used. I have never stated in a hotel room where you don’t have tea and coffee facilities. There is room service but with limited hours of service and nothing in the room to direct you to a menu or explain the options. We had a twin double bed room as my young daughter shared with us but I had to ask for a room lamp as the only lighting options were all very bright 6000k lights on or be in the dark so once my daughter was asleep we’d have to sit in the dark. An employee did bring us a lamp so that was resolved but they did seem surprised this caused us a problem. The room seemed to be missing a coffee table. I wouldn’t stay here again as it was just not comfortable or properly clean. There were signs of poor maintenance everywhere especially regarding electrical fittings in the room.

I stayed here March 21-25 was an amazing hotel super friendly staff and amazing bar and restaurant service there free breakfast in the morning is also very good Colombian breakfast one of my new fav places and they have an amazing sky loft area with jacuzzi Can even bring your food up there magical
