My stay was very good, the staff was professional and helpful. My only complaint was the imposed tax on Colombian citizens. I believe, I should be given the benefits of a foreign visitor. Colombia has forced us US citizens to have dual citizenship if you were born in Colombia, so they can penalize us with their tax laws. I’m a U.S. citizen I’ve lived in the US for 53 years. I paid the taxes because I came to Barranquilla to have a great time and I truly did, I didn’t come to argue or dispute their laws. The problem was that I decided to extend my stay at the hotel not knowing that I would have to pay the taxes again, that upset me and expressed my feelings. But the staff are there to do their jobs. When I read the fine print with booking connections it mentioned that the tax would apply if I was staying at the hotel for more than 60 days, I only 6 days maybe I totally misunderstood the information.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I found our room to be very comfortable, spacious and clean. I felt safe staying there. We enjoyed the hotel’s breakfast buffet and the attentive staff. The hotel is located near many medical centers and shopping malls.

1. Air conditioning in room did not work
2. all the hallways are always dark until you start to walk, they are on a sensor, however sometimes delayed. getting out of the elevator at night onto the 9th floor was pitch dark. Did not feel too safe. If you are with children this is not good.
3. When you leave your room, the air conditioning turns off. you have to wait 30 minuets when you get back for it to get to 24.75 Celsius (76.55 Fahrenheit). The room never felt cool, always kind of humid.
4. Elevator air conditioning does not work. Humid and hot in elevators. Very uncomfortable.
5. Pool opens at 10am. That is very late, especially if you are on a time schedule like I was. Also, pool closes on Mondays. Because of the pool schedule we were able to enjoy it only 2 times during a 7 day stay. (I traveled with my 2 sons to visit family)
6. Breakfast is mediocre at best. Not a great selection of breakfast foods.
7. Great location, but location does not warrant all the other in Incompetencies

The first two nights I was given a room where the bathroom light kept going off,the bathroom wasn't draining,the were holes in the bathroom shower wall,no drapes and the TV didn't work! I made a least seven calls for the lights and after the second night they finally gave me a proper room.No discount and promises of make up to me didn't become reality.Very disappointed ☹️

So this review is for my aunt I do all her bookings.
Let’s start with the hotel and rooms are nice and overall clean.
She stood at this hotel 9/2-9/8
And they stole her AirPods from her room this is what happen during her stay;
Tuesday 9/5 Last time I used them @ 11am
I left 12:20pm back at night
They cleaned the room usually around 3pm
We went on a outing and was told it’s best to leave our belongs behind.
The phone and AirPods were moved to another area of the room.
When I got back and went to use the AirPods they were missing out the case.
The next day after letting the front desk know about the missing AirPods this is what happen in my room
No toilet paper
Didn’t fix the bed
But they arrange all our stuff grouping the same items together glasses, perfume, liquor, water all lined up together very weird.
Front desk Ochoa & Lima when I spoke with them they kept giving me the run around including Monsalvo the Manager and Almanzo is the housekeeping manager.
