Really nice hotel in the Pilton side of Barnstaple but still within easy walking distance of the town centre. Nice period building. Room was warm, clean and comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. Special mention for the fantastic breakfast and friendly staff. If you are looking for a nice non-chain hotel - this is the one.

Between us we had three different types of room and all were spotlessly clean and beds extremely comfortable. We had lots of choice at breakfast, the food was great and service excellent . Staff are super friendly, very helpful and informative.

Super comfy beds and pillows. I slept so well. Such a nice breakfast which was included. Breakfast finished at 8.30am on a week day so worth getting up earlier if you require a leisurely breakfast as everything is promptly removed at 8.30am. The loft space room was clearly advised to me as being in the loft, tight for space and approx 50 stairs, it was a struggle for the unfit(me,) and the double bed great for just me but two people getting in and out would have been a struggle. The en suite was lovely, a small shower tight against the toilet, not for a larger person. Bed so, so comfortable, I slept so well. The tea tray was very nice, lovely tea, beautiful mugs and yummy biscuits.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Large very clean room with comfortable bed. Lots of assistance offered and a lovely freshly cooked breakfast added to the experience. Close to centre of town. Our stay was a delight and we would visit again when in the area.

Great hotel friendly accomodating bed superb.large double with 2 quilts one each .breakfast super.thankyou.nothing to much trouble ordered taxi supplied us with map of area came in very handy and at a good price

Feelgood mood from beginning to end. Started with free upgrade of room. Lovely big room with view. A very comfortable bed. Quiet area. Breakfast was plentyful, in fact ask for less when ordering english breakfast... If in the area, this is highly recommended!

Fantastic experience. Very clean and welcoming. Would definitely visit again and recommend to others. Stayed in a attic room with was plenty spacious for what I needed. Only thing I would improve would be the room was a bit cold and the radiator didn't seem to work.

My wife and I only stayed one night but were very well looked after. The deal was exactly as offered. Lovely greeting, clean room, good breakfast which they seemed pretty generous and flexible with and a good location being on a pleasant street, just a short walk from town. Thanks Paul.

Stayed for two nights. Everything good, no problems at all. Room was comfortable and clean, and service friendly and efficient. Excellent breakfast too. Cost was a bit more than I'd like to pay at £80 per night for a single, but I did leave it rather late to book. Highly recommended if you want to stay in Barnstaple and near the town centre.
