Premier Inn Barnsley Central M1 J37

The Premier Inn in Barnsley is so central it is easier to stop over rather than taxi back home. We have booked here on several occasions and gone out in Barnsley for a change. Hotel is nice and clean and easy to park around there.

There was a warm welcome at the hotel. The staff were helpful and pleasant at all times and the room was warm and clean and comfortable. The only down side was parking but again the staff were very helpful even with this.

It's a classic Premier Inn. We had a bath in our room which was good for us with our young un. The main reason we wanted to write was to praise the staff. I had an incident, completely unrelated to the hotel, which meant I had to go to hospital and necessitates an extra nights say. The staff have been exceptionally friendly and lovely to us, have looked after our little un and gone above and beyond. They're a credit to Premier Inn. Cannot say enough nice things about them.

A very disappointing experience. We arrived before checknin time and so had a drink in the bar. Not a good experience. We had to find a member of staff. Then bothe the bar and our table were so so sticky and had nit been cleaned properly. It was only 2.30pm. Chair covering were damaged, worn and torn. Check in was a terrible experience. The member of staff had no interest in us at all and was borderline rude ! Room was fine. Check out was an all together different experience.- a very kind young man who went out of his way to deliver great customer service. The Check in member of staff clearly has alot to learn.

Stayed locally at another hotel and decided to move here near the town centre for shopping. Fantastic staff on reception from James and Jess on nights they where amazing. Rooms where tired but very clean. Carpark was Abit rough looking but security was on 24/7 Breakfast next door was very good lots of options

Checked in Sunday while Monday for business and leisure. Very friendly concierge, room was a pleasant surprise. Only downside was limited breakfast options, didn't want to spend over £10 on a bacon sandwich and didn't have time for a full breakfast.

Great location in short walking distance to a great and busy town center. Excellent service from friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast cooked to order and served to the table - the best Premier Inn we have ever stayed at.

Outstanding customer service experience. From arrival after a long 2 hour journey after a long working day I was greeted by the desk manager James who quickly remidied my need to merge 2 separate bookings due to an unforeseen rail strike just before travelling. Nothing was too much trouble for James and you immediately feel warm and welcomed and felt relaxed, well informed about the menu choices and WiFi all essential for a business woman on the move! As an Executive Director this gentleman is an eexcellent recruitment choice Premier Inn, you should invest in this young man being a hotel manager; excellent customer service and I have stayed at the best hotels including the Savoy London and Dubai. Food and drink very good, Shannon on the bar very helpful explaining the large range of Gins and supporting menu options which were excellent and the sirloin steak upgrade definitely worth a couple of pounds extra! Again one to develop and invest in the future Premier Inn. Beds away from home as good as it gets and always appreciate extra pillows and Bayliss and Harding bathroom toiletries. On the back of this I would definitely stay at Premier Inn again and highly recommend Premier Inn Barnsley Central M1 Junction 37. A great team and can not praise the excellent hospitality enough! If you nominate staff for awards Premier Inn then I highly recommend the team members I met on 27th February 2024!

We had the loveliest staff member who was so friendly and welcoming! The cot bed was not suitable and did not follow safe sleep guidance, sheets far too big and a completely solid mattress. This really impacted on our sleep.
