Burntwood Court Hotel

Spotlessly clean but seriously outdated rooms, which is fine. However, to charge 5 star prices is a complete rip off. Attended a wedding and pre booked a double room. Received a twin. Ok, not the end of the world but £180 for one night in a throwback room from the 1980’s is an expensive night away. Wish we’d have paid for a taxi and gone home for that price.

Disappointing and definitely not worth the money. The hotel is advertised as 5 stars on Google, which I had my doubts about when booking but thought it looked like a 4 star online. For a family get together the superior family room seemed a good choice. We booked in and asked about towels and robe hire for the spa across the car park. We were told by the receptionist that they dont do that and we'd have to use the towels from our room, but bear in mind they wouldn't refresh our towels for our morning showers. Across at the spa the receptionist said they have towels available, so I asked for some to save our room towels. However we were told as we'd brought our room towels we should use them and weren't given any spa towels despite us offering to hire them. This was ridiculous, for the sake of 3 towels! Overall the hotel staff were rude and unapproachable with the only exception of the lady serving breakfast who was lovely. The room is 3 star at best, with an old bathroom and small shower, old hairdryer, manky small panel heater, and only 3 lamps in a large dark room, poo stain in toilet, chipped wooded veneer; room decor very outdated considering we paid for a superior room. The only good thing was the comfy beds and quiet location. I wouldn't stay here again. The one night cost us £190 and totally not worth it. The spa pool, sauna, steam room and changing rooms were nice.

Stayed here Sat 11th May as we had a wedding to attend close by. We asked if it would be possible to check in slightly earlier as to give us chance to change as the ceremony started at 3pm, no flexibility here 2pm only. The rooms are very basic think lots of dark woods and well worn furniture, the room was baking hot as there is no aircon, not even a fan! Requested a family room with a cot, and got a double with a extra single bed, no cot either so not great for a family of 4 with a baby. Be aware that if you stay here over a weekend and would like to take the kids in the pool its £20 per adult and £10 per child apparently use of the pool isn't included in the £190 room fee. Tried to take the kids into the soft play there after the 11am checkout, unfortunately this doesn't open until 11:30 and the outside play area is also padlocked shut until then so rather than sit in the car park for half hour we decided to leave. Poor for the price, bad service and quality is on par with a Travelodge.

For 7 years, the restaurant has been one of the best places for me and my friends, with delicious and fresh dishes. I can't remember where else I can eat such healthy and fresh food; it's simply exquisite. Every portion is substantial, a masterpiece. If I were to look for downsides, the prices are indeed high, which doesn't surprise me, considering how difficult it must be for both us customers and the restaurants to survive in the current economic situation. The food is 5-star quality and hygienic . Highly recommended!

Our daughter’s wedding was wonderful! Steve and his staff were excellent, from the smooth running of the wedding service in the chapel to the piping hot delicious food served in the afternoon. Thank you for making our daughter’s special day a memorable one.

We stayed 2x nights (Fri & Sat) in February for a wedding. We had a wonderful time and the wedding organisation and food were great. Our room was modern, and spacious with a large bathroom, it was nice, but I felt £140 a night was a little on the steep side. Breakfast was included in the price and had everything you would expect. We also used the spa and pool on Friday evening which was very relaxing after a busy day. Special mention has to go to Amanda at reception who was extremely friendly and helpful.
