We (a family of 4 people) booked at Residence Le Lacs Bardonecchia via Booking. We immediately realized that the trains to Bardonecchia for those dates were fully booked, our fault. We immediately (within 24 hours) called the Residence to cancel the booking (we were booking in October for February, so well ahead) but the owner told us he could only offer a voucher and only with a deduction of 20%. The voucher meant that we had to call him to book. We tried several times but he always claimed the residence was fully booked, although it seemed possible to book online. We tried to signal this problem to the Booking customer service, which is completely useless and a waste of time (we make this claim out of several bad experiences, so do not count on Booking helping you in any way if you have a problem). We tried two consecutive winter seasons and eventually gave up and lost our money. It was very clear that the owner (Luca) had absolutely no intention to honour his commitment to have us at a different time and that the voucher was just an excuse not to tell us that he did not intend to return the money. Dear Luca, it's sad to see an operator just grabbing the money and making no effort to offer anything in return. We recommend not to use this residence. (we have put a date under "when did you travel" because otherwise the system does not let us proceed, but unfortunately as you understand we were never allowed to travel to Les Lac and, when in Bardonecchia, we went to a different residence)
