Hotel de la Placette Barcelonnette

A perfect stay after a long motorbike tour on the Route des grandes Alpes. Good for a short stay, in the heart of Barcelonette. Starting the day with a good breakfast at the hotel.

Great location in the center of town. Parking is a bit of an issue but there is plenty within walking distance. Super friendly staff. Bike storage garage. A little noisy early in the morning. Kind of a 6.30 wake up call!

Hotel staff very firendly. Easy parking on main square except on market days. Great parking for motorcycles. Rooms are cosy and relect the rating of the hotel. Breakfast good with fresh bread and croissant but not a huge choice otherwise. There is an egg-bolier. Plenty of good places to eat in the town, but don't expect haute cuisine. Spent four night here. Great access to the mountains.

I went to Barcelonette with about 20 cycling friends. Most of us stayed at this hotel. It is VERY centrally located. I had a triple room (queen bed and single bed) and two of us shared. Ample sized room. It was an interior room so very quiet. No AC so opened windows at night and room cooled off. Breakfast was 9 Euro. Nothing spectacular but served its purpose since we were riding every day by 8 a.m. Normally they start breakfast at 7:30 but opened early for us - nice! The owner and his father were very friendly, nice and accommodating. The owner spoke good English, the father not so much but I speak French so was able to translate if needed. Don't sell lunch or dinner, but have a well stocked bar and tables inside and on the outside patio. OK to bring food back to the hotel patio to eat, and of course they provided service from the bar. With the exception of the female bartender in the afternoon who was lazy and surly, the rest of the staff was GREAT! My queen bed was super comfy, good bedding. Had 1 issue with the towels and they fixed it right away. There is a small desk to work at. The internet was free and a descent speed. Lots of great restaurants within 4 blocks. We were not permitted to put bikes in the room but they have a large extra secure garage a block away where we kept them. It actually worked out great not having to lug the bike upstairs and take up space in the room. I would DEFINATELY stay here again.

hôtel bien situé au centre ville, accueil très agréable, les chambres sont propres et rénovées ressèment, literie et service de la chambre très bien .le buffet du petit déjeuner est copieux , avec du sucré et salé, et du fromage de la région.

Jean Paul et Marie Rose sont super !! L’accueil est génial, le personnel est au petit soin. On espère que Jean Paul gagne au PMU pour partir à st Barth lol !! Les produits locaux proposés au petit déjeuner sont très bon !! Merci à vous

Chambre 3 personnes spacieuse, au calme, bien équipée. Petit bar calme en rez de chaussée qui ferme tôt et propose des petits dej (non testés) Des restaurants à proximité de l'hôtel. Nb: pas d'ascenseur mais 3eme et derniers étage accessible

Le patron, Jean-Paul, est très sympa et arrangeant. Le petit déjeuner est de très bonne qualité. Je recommande sans hésitation ce petit hôtel de 16 chambres qui possède également le restaurant le Tinto, qui est de très bonne qualité. (10% de remise au resto si vous dites que vous venez de la part de l'hôtel de la placette 😉)
