We stayed here for 5 nights, 2 adults and 2 children and it was so good. Information provided for arrival on how to get into the building was so clear and done very timely. The apartment was clean and cool on our arrival, and so spacious. There was also a bottle of water greeting us which was a nice touch. We were in apartment 1-1 which meant that we had the bonus of a small terrace at the back which was brilliant for drying our wet swimwear and towels, and later on clothes when we were using the washing machine. But it’s only the first floor apartments that have this bonus space. The location was really good. A bit off the main action but still with some restaurants, and small supermarkets nearby for essentials. And still a easy walk to attractions. We walked 25 mins to Sagrada Familia one morning. There is an access to a metro station just on the corner but we mostly walked places. Our eldest started setting herself a challenge of how many steps she walked each day. There are a lot of comments about sound being heard from the neighbouring apartments, and I’m not going to lie - you do hear them a lot. But mostly, from our experience, is was mostly people entering the building, as the noise just echos and bounces off the walls & floor. The other noises we mostly heard were chairs scrapping across the floor in the apartment above. Didn’t bother us adults too much but our children, who have never been in a city before, couldn’t understand it, so we just explained that that’s city living. You hear people. The amazing thing noise wise was the lack of traffic & people noise from outside, as whilst we were only on the first floor, the windows really do cut the sound from the street. So, space was really good, air-con functioned as it should (and was so needed!), washing machine worked, but the absolutely highlight was the pool. Our girls loved it, and it became the treat (and much needed cooling respite) to go to the pool next door after a day of walking and sightseeing. It did get busy on occasion, but most were respectful to one another, and seats were available either in the sun or the shade. Top tip: You get the code to access the pool in the same email as your arrival instructions, so if you’re arriving to Barcelona before being able to access the apartment (3pm), it’s possible to use the pool early, which I think is a nice touch. Just know there is no changing area or toilet available. Contact with Aspasios was done through the email address they originally contacted us with, and we only needed to contact them about a missing clothes dryer, which they were quick to repond to, however it took a full 24 hours before one got delivered. We ended up using the dryer function on the washer more than we would have liked. (I.e. not at all!) All in all a great start to our holiday in Barcelona. I would definitely recommend this apartment location, especially for families, but I would also book again with Aspasios were we to travel to
