Sonder Los Arcos

Truly enjoyed our stay, 5 Second Walk to the Plaza Reial. Hundreds of restaurants and cafes all walking distance. The subway stop is about 5 minutes away Liceu. Same line as the train station therefore very convenient. The hotel has no reception, download the app and everything is sent electronically, door code, wifi information etc. Very convenient. What I also liked you could conveniently check in a few hours earlier for a small fee, we had just arrived from Canada therefore it was great to be able to check in at 1pm and have a nap before we started to explore the city. Our room was small, but was modern and clean. Nice size bathroom, but it lacked shelves for our toiletries and the room could have used more storage/shelves in a small alcove that was empty and wasted space. Lighting was good though the room, the hotel had an elevator and a small roof top with seating and a place to store your luggage if your room was not available and a small cabinet with extra supplies such as towels, coffee, toilet paper. If I would go back I would splurge for the bigger room and definitely would stay again because of its location.

This is the best apartment rental in Barcelona! Sonder staff are the best and attend to you quickly and easily to answer any question or query. I can’t recommend this place more highly! It was a fantastic stay and I will be back! Thanks to all the Sonder staff for being such great hosts and amazing people! The apartment also - top notch and perfect in every way!

The apartment was perfect and spacious. It was clean and tidy. The staff was helpful and made our stay so much better. Thanks to the great staff especially to Riccardo and Facundo. It was a great experience, will recommend Sonder to everyone.

Good location. Arrived very late but staff were very kind and accommodating. Lovely room, big and comfy bed, clean and spacious bathroom, we had a few issues with the remote unlocking through the phone, but staff were very responsive and helpful!

My stay at this sonder was great. The rooms were very modern, clean, bathrooms in great condition, bed extremely comfortable and overall operations of coming / leaving great. That said, the one big downfall of this location is the noise. The windows don’t do enough noise cancelling, therefore you hear the crowds in the evening. Furthermore, the walls of the hotel are very thin. You can easily ear conversations other guests are having or any noise they are making. Sonder does provide earplugs, so don’t skip them!

There was a flood on our first night. We were woken up during the night with flooding and everyone had to leave. We then sat in a lobby of a sister hotel for 2 hours in the middle of the night. They finally got us a room at a hotel very far away. This was an issue because we booked a hotel in the area all of our things were in. They felt they upgraded us so that we should just be happy. But we didn't book their sister hotel for a reason. We had to spend so much more time and money walking back and forth from the new hotel to our plans. In addition, our clothes and shoes were wrecked by the flood. I realize the hotel didn't do this on purpose, but it's part of running a business: I paid a premium to stay where I booked, I could have paid less to be in a different area. We also were completely exhausted after no sleep that night. Nothing was offered OH and we had to pay for our own taxi to the new hotel. We had to ASK for compensation. What did they give us! The night we were not in the room due to floods. That's it. I asked for compensation due to the room being in a bad location and our clothes/shoes being wrecked. They told me "sorry we gave you one night free". Ahem we didn't have a room so you better have given us that night free!
