穿穿白衬衣的薄荷星Brunei's little-known facts, a complete travel guide
Brunei is a niche country. I believe many people know about Brunei through Wu Zun. This place is located in the green heart of Borneo, in the north of Kalimantan Island. It is worth visiting.
The following are some travel guides, shared with everyone, and recommended to collect.
[Visa]
China implements visa on arrival, 20 SGD or Brunei currency, buy round-trip tickets and book a hotel, there are very few people entering the country, basically no need to queue, you can fly directly.
[Network]
You can buy a local card or buy Yidian connection. I use Yidian connection. You can use it by inserting the card. You can recharge the data in any country. It is very convenient.
[Accommodation]
There are not many good hotels in Brunei. The best one is the Empire Hotel, which is on the beach and costs at least 1800 per night. I stayed at the Radisson Hotel. The hotel is relatively old and located in the city center. It is convenient to go anywhere.
[Currency]
The Brunei currency and the SGD are common, and the exchange rate is the same. Some stores accept Alipay, and most of them accept Visa cards.
[Transportation]
The average Bruneian family owns 3 cars, so Brunei's public transportation is basically zero. There are only 8 bus routes, 72 buses, and 83 taxis in the country. The bus runs once an hour, and sometimes it will be cancelled if there is no one.
So it is more convenient to rent a car when you land, and you can get a translated driver's license. Or you can use dart to take a taxi, and you can basically get one even if you wait for a long time.
[Recommended check-in places]
1️⃣ Sultan Memorial Hall: The world's largest private accommodation, built to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the Sultan's accession to the throne, collects Brunei's historical relics and items of the king and queen. The ticket is 5 dong, you need to wear slippers to visit, you can't use a camera to take pictures, you can only use a mobile phone.
2️⃣Ayer Water Village: A water village in Brunei with a long history. You need to take a boat tour. The cost is about 10 monies per person. You can bargain. The sunset is beautiful.
3️⃣Padang Night Market: The only night market in Bandar Seri Begawan. It mainly sells some local barbecues. Most of them are locals. The barbecue smell is particularly strong. You can try the local specialty - roasted chicken buttocks.
4️⃣Jamie Mosque: The largest and most luxurious mosque in Brunei. The 29 gold domes are very impressive. It is called the King's Mosque.
5️⃣Omar Mosque: A water mosque with a white exterior and a golden dome. It is particularly photogenic at dusk.
6️⃣Bake Culture: Wu Zun Bakery. I came here for Wu Zun. In fact, the bread is average. There is a coffee on the second floor.
7️⃣Imperial Hotel: You can check in. It is right by the sea. The hotel is very large. There are many photogenic check-in spots. The sunset is also good.
Sharing some little-known facts about Brunei:
✅Brunei is very small, sandwiched between Sarawak and Sabah in Malaysia, with a small land area and the capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan
✅Because of Brunei’s religion, there is no sale of tobacco and alcohol in the country, no bars, KTVs, and no nightclubs
✅Brunei’s water is more expensive than oil, and its specialty is oil. One liter of oil is about 2 yuan, and a bottle of mineral water is 5 yuan at the cheapest
✅Brunei’s public transportation is underdeveloped, and each family has an average of three cars, so taxis are very expensive.
Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
NNickolas Cone of the best looking mosques you can find in Southeast Asia. It has an amazing gold dome.

Istana Nurul Iman
Cchinadesk1The palace is not open to the public on weekdays. When I went there, I just looked outside. The national emblem of Brunei on the big iron gate at the entrance is beautiful. There is a wide lawn inside, flowers are blooming, and the palace is magnificent. The guards are strictly guarding. There is no public transportation around, so you need to consider transportation in advance.
Royal Regalia Museum
Yyangduoduo17He is a good place to go when the sun is very big or when it suddenly rains outside, but his air-conditioning is very, very strong, and you need to pay attention to keep warm! It is best to have an explanation to understand the history of Brunei more fully. I don’t usually like museums because I always find it boring to stay in such places. Since there aren’t many places to visit on this Sribaga Bay trip, I had to go to this museum and the results were amazing, this museum is so interesting! It was beautiful inside! The staff was helpful, fluent in English and the communication was very smooth. We went through the whole museum and watched all the gifts that other countries had given to the King of Brunei and were deeply enchanted by them. Each gift is unique and fully reflects the style of their country. The best thing about this museum is that at the end of the visit, you can see a small gift shop with a variety of souvenirs, cheap and worth buying. We were so happy to be able to visit this museum. Highly recommended!
Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex
AAlexfishYayasan SHHB Complex, The square is located next to the Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque. It is a large square where you can eat, drink and play together. It is similar to the domestic Wanda (of course, I think there is still a lot of distance from Wanda). The most interesting thing is not what is sold inside. But the architectural style here. The two main buildings are on both sides of the square, the blue sky and white clouds, and the water family on the south of the Golden Ding Mosque in the north. Even if the sun is hot, there will be a few blockbusters! ! !
Sumbangsih Mulia Complex
AAmoy HROnly open during the day. Cheap place to experience local foods, the local cakes, puff pastry, rice dishes with wide variety of side dishes.
