Great looking place, rooms were comfortable, spacious. View was amazing, morning or night! There was a boardwalk that was great to explore other places. Staff were friendly, and responsive. The pool was warm and clean, it was a great place to relax. The stay included 1-hour surfing lessons and the instructors were also very helpful. The issue has to do with food - they sent out the menu in the evening, but more than half the items were not available, and there was a mix up re quantity (we had documented proof we relayed the quantity). Breakfast the next day? A disaster. I mean, turns out we had to pay 110p for every cup of coffee, it was not included with breakfast (we were a party of 13, most of us coffee drinkers), and it took FOREVER to arrive. An advance order at 6:30am is no assurance you will get your coffee by 8am. And every single time they bring the coffee, you have to specify the sugar and creamer requirements otherwise they assume you want nothing with your coffee. Worse - you could ask for sugar and creamer, but they won't return with it because they get swamped or distracted. This place is beautiful but there are obvious management and leadership issues. They need to empower their staff, and improve the food situation, seriously. Print out a menu of what's available instead of offering several pages of non-available items. We ended up eating dinner elsewhere on our second night. We were a party of almost 40 headcount for dinner, and it would have been nice to stay in for dinner but we couldn't risk encountering the same issues.
