I had a short stay here at Turas-Mara and would be very happy to visit again. It's an easy property to locate in Ayr, with its own off-road parking. A very characterful house with a comfortable twin-bedded room on the first floor for me. Shower was efficient and easy to use. Breakfast was served without delay on arrival at the dining room, with a nice selection of options. The situation of the guesthouse is just right, as it's very close to the centre of Ayr (easily within walking distance) and also reasonable for the seafront, but it sits just on the outside of the main town. Jackie was a friendly and chatty host. Be sure to stop by Electric Brae (at Croy, just to the south) for the mind-bending experience of a gravity road! Other nice spots nearby include Dunure, Rozelle estate and Alloway.
