We were staying at this hotel as a family a few days ago. The hotel has very big and nice premises with gardens, pools, different restaurants, a small aquapark, and above all, it is by the sea , having its private sandy beach. Positive Things: - All the staff are very friendly, helpful and nice, although the hotel was totally full and very well booked, and staff had to work under such a stress, most of them stay cool and friendly. I would like to mention a few names of the staff, who helped us, and made our stay comfortable, these very helpful guys are: Mr. Biser, Mr. Szasza, and Mr. Alex of the Portier team, Ms. Sybille of the guest relations team, As a matter of fact, the most important thing, this hotel has, is its staff, and they deserve 5 stars, but I should be honest. So I compare this 5 star hotel with the other 5 star hotels, I have already seen. That's why I can't give 5 star in this comment. - The pools are clean, and are cleaned and filtered and the water testet regularly, as we saw that. - Most of the staff can speak and understand English well, some of the staff are English Nationals, like Kids Club or Animation Teams. - The rooms and generally the hotel is clean , and the Housekeeping and the gardeners are doing a very good job, as we saw them working, and making the hotel a more comfortable and pleasant place. There are a few things which can be improved to be a real 5 star Beach Resort, in my opinion: - One can see many of the staff work under pure stress, and the hotel guests should wait long queues to be served or to be seated in the restaurant or to get a drink from the bar; maybe one reason can be a shortage of staff in these teams, in high seasons this can be worse. - The reception of a hotel, is the most important and main section of it. In Atlantica Mare Village Hotel and Resort, the reception is too small for such a big hotel, although the receptionist do thier best to deliver a good service and assistance, but the number of staff in the reception does not proportionate the number of guests. A bigger reception with more staff, or 2 receptions in different parts of the hotel, as some big hotels have, could be a solution to this problem. - The food and beverages in main restaurant (buffet) are good and mostly well cooked, and well presented. But many salads and foods for lunch as well dinner, are repeated everyday and this makes it unfortunately boring. For the children specially the foods and dishes are not attractive, as many are too spicy. In the dessert section of restaurant, the choice of fruits are very limited and the quality is low. - In the rooms, the bath room's washing basin is very awkward; it looks modern but it gets wet always after each time using it. The water splashes overall. A bad construction! - Animation Programms are very poor in themes and quality. Just one magic show was o.k.
