We had stayed at Ginger Aurangabad in early 2020 and were extremely satisfied. So, when we traveled again to Aurangabad last week, we decided to stay again at the same hotel. We couldn't have done a worse mistake. Both in terms of physical infrastructure and upkeep of the hotel as well as in terms of service levels, it has been an 180 degree turnaround making things really bad. Basic cleanliness is not maintained. The wash basin has water marks & spots, bathroom was not clean and the restaurant is not cleaned properly, making it a health risk. You can see a couple of pictures that I am attaching. Service? It was practically missing. We requested for spoon (yes, just a spoon) and it did not come despite multiple follow ups. Room service people asked to contact restaurant people, restaurant people did not pick-up call and reception people asked to contact others. Finally, the Ginger guys didn't ***age to give a spoon! There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. It took 45 minutes and 4 calls, the last one in a sarcastic tone, for the toilet paper to arrive. There were ***y other such experiences unfortunately. We don't expect such things from a Tata group company or an IHCL hotel. The only explanation I can have is that IHCL has abandoned Ginger Aurangabad and may be it's now being run by some impostors. PS - Whoever is ***aging the Travel Advisor account on behalf of Ginger, please don't send out the standard, automated response.
