Wineport Lodge

Amazing food, service and location. Upon arrival you are greeted by very pleasant staff and offered a glass of champagne. The rooms overlooking the lake are beautifully decorated. The food was exceptional. I would highly recommend the sea food platter.

A fabulous time from the moment we arrived till the moment we left. We were met by molly and brendan who were very welcoming and when I explained that I had booked the hot tubs at check in time they put my mind at ease and got us checked in earlier. The hot tub was wonderful even though it was pouring rain. Rhian was our host there. Got us settled in with our glass of bubbly and put the stove on incase we were cold when we got out. Bar staff were lovely too. We had dinner in our room on the balcony overlooking the lake. We had the charcuterie board and some wings. Food was lovely. Comfortable room and bed. Had breakfast delivered the next morning. Fab A wonderful relaxing time made all the better by the welcoming staff.

We enjoyed a 2 night stay at Wineport Lodge at the end of July. The hotel is beautiful & all of the rooms have balconies & views of the lake. We were blessed with nice weather so that was a bonus. Our room was nice, the bed was very comfortable with great pillows. The bathroom was spacious with a great power shower. All of the staff we encountered were lovely, all very friendly & helpful. We really enjoyed the outdoor spaces at the hotel, with good weather it was great to have so much outdoor seating. We enjoyed great cocktails in the sunshine while we were there. The only disappointment we had in the hotel was the food. We expected a much higher standard than what was available. Examples are chowder with more carrots than fish in it, a completely tasteless key lime pie, bruschetta on rock hard bread - and that was just our lunch experience on day 1. The dinner menu was very pricey & had a very limited choice. After a very average meal on night one we actually ended to going to Glasson village on day 2 for lunch just to experience something a little tasty. The food at Wineport was freshly prepared but just seemed to lack flavour. Overall we had a lovely weekend but I wouldn’t return because if you are paying over €1,000 for 2 nights away the food should be excellent.

We booked the Luxury Cruiser Stay for Saturday the 27 th of July 2024 bed and breakfast one night for five of us, unfortunately one of the guests could not come so there was only the four of us, the boat is stationary and is berthed at the jetty only a few feet from the lodge. We had two double rooms and on each bed we had a white dressing gown, slippers, towels, miniature VOYA toiletries, also there was four large bottles of water, bars of chocolates, cookies, crisps. There was a bottle of rosé champagne, balloons with happy 60 th and a lovely hand written card of welcome, what a great welcome and great start to our day. The weather was like been on the Mediterranean, blue skies, sun shining, calm lake, charcuterie board, bubbles and great company pure heaven. We had the hot tubs booked for 5pm €25 per person for 25 minutes with Prosecco. We had dinner booked for 7.30pm in the lodge , Kash the restaurant manager was so professional and friendly as where all staff in the restaurant, the meal we had was beautiful, the dessert key lime cheesecake was delicious, the cocktails called lemon drop when down very well with dinner the girls drank more then one or two. We had breakfast the following morning back in the lodge , you can also order it to be brought down to the boat if you would like. We have said that we will return again very soon hopefully before Christmas to see the lodge all decorated and see it in the winter time which we think would be magical. We would like to thank Ray and Jane the owners of Wine Port Lodge for their warm welcome, hospitality, professionalism, attention to detail and for the wonderful staff they employ as every one was so friendly, happy in their work and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you to Norma Wilson the general Manager for the lovely welcome notes and greetings. To say we enjoyed our overnight and stay is a understatement it was amazing

This family run hotel has exceptional customer engagement &experience at its heart. Each staff member touch points reflects this central ethos perfectly. Our check in began with the owner welcoming us with a glass of prosecco on arrival from Ray, who is a member of senior management and as we later discovered, one of the owners. This was a very welcome surprise but only a seaway as to what was to follow. Molly, managed the reception desk like a captain of an ocean going vessel. Deft almost imperceptible touches brought us through the process seamlessly. We were brought through to the bar area for our lunch and once again, the customer centricity ethos shone through. Catalogue took our order after offering his personal favourite dishes from a well considered menu. My chowder was the best I have enjoyed in Ireland to date, and this is a go to dish for me. The Guinness bread was super, the perfect accompaniment. Later, our room offered an absolutely dynamic view of our end of Lough Ree, sweet! Dinner was a trip down seafood central as we opted for the seafood sharing dish (which I would earnestly recommend) and gound a gru vee on the wine menu. Kash was a muse of information and was delighted to impart his intricate & indepth knowledge of the wine menu. The professionalism that each and every waiter on the floor was shining through. At this stage, you can clearly see that my experience here was exemplary. When you can come here, book a place and unwind. We will be back.

Here for dinner, bed and breakfast on a Friday evening. Excellent from start to finish. Greeted with prosecho on arrival before being shown to our room. Location is magical. I'm sure there is loads of stuff to do but equally you can just chill. Restaurant and hotel very busy but in a good way. Food is excellent and I found staff to be very friendly and professional. Faultless

We went to Wineport Lodge on a Saturday afternoon to scope it out for an event. There were several tables free on the patio and we would like to have sat and have a drink. A very officious front desk man told us that we couldn't have a drink, we must eat as well!! This place has Celtic Tiger notions of itself. We won't be back. We went to another hotel across the lake where we couldn't have been more welcome.

Arrived today to celebrate our wedding anniversary. So far it's been just outstanding. Bubbles on arrival, amazing bedroom with beautiful lake views, and outstanding customer service. Dinner tonight was absolutely delicious. Really looking forward to the spa tomorrow, and all the delights in store.

Everything was perfect. The staff are so lovely! Special mention to Norma who looked after us so well at dinner. I was celebrating my birthday, there was a birthday card with treats in my room and my table for dinner was decorated and sparklers came on my dessert! So many extra personalised touches that just made our stay so special. I loved the food, especially the breakfast. The spa and hot tubs also a huge highlight! I got the best massage and facial ever, I can’t remember the name of the therapist but she was amazing. It’s a signature treatment and it is brilliant! The rooms are state of the art. Newspaper delivered in the morning. Fires burning in the lobby and in the bar. Just gorgeous. Cannot recommend enough!
