Lovely hotel in a beautiful location with helpful and pleasant staff. Had an evening meal which was very good as was the breakfast. Only criticism was the size of the room which was compact and thin towels in need of replacing. Neither of which would prevent me from returning or recommending it to others.

A real gem. Rooms were lovely, food was excellent and the service was brilliant. Very busy during the week but the service was more than up to the challenge. Would definitely recommend the hotel. Lovely walks around the village. Thanks for looking after us.

Chose this hotel for its close proximity to the M trail - so glad we did and upgraded to a suite. The whole experience was wonderful from the welcome, food and drink to the excellent service.

The room was beautiful, the additional extras like Nespresso Coffee and Tea, White Company Bathroom products were all lovely. But our room was directly anove the kitchen - and the noise from the kitchen didn't stop until after 11pm and started again at 6.20am.
We did request another room shortly after check in but were told there were no others spare.
The hotel are obviously aware this is an issue for anyone wanting a good nights sleep but were only willing to apologise for something they already know is an issue. They could fit the room with air con so there is no need to open the window or supply ear plugs.
I would be interested to know if any of the staff have actually trued a night in the room because we were made to feel it was an us issue when it is certainly a them issue.

Excellent suite. Welcoming staff.
It was a Friday evening and the restaurant was noisy and a bit short-staffed.
Great location in a quiet pretty village a couple of miles from Bakewell.

Great little hotel. Not long since being re opened I believe. Really nice decor, great food (although a little expensive), friendly welcoming staff and the best thing was the room which was very luxurious with coffee machine, fresh teas etc all for a very reasonable price with breakfast included! Would definitely stay and recommend.
