A beautiful lodge that allows you to enjoy the tranquility of nature! Great service and an ideal location to enjoy all that Arusha has to offer. Multiple tour offerings that allow you to enjoy the area. The meals and bar services were delicious!

This hotel is amazing. It’s located halfway between the JRO airport and Arusha, just outside the bustling city. The cottage was large and comfortable. The food was so delicious too and it’s very close to Arusha National park. I really enjoyed walking by the river in the afternoon and sitting by the fire in the evening. Highly recommended!!

Stayed in Rivertrees for a couple of nights before travelling further into the country. Everything about this place is very enjoyable: the well kept grounds with wonderful old trees, the river running through and a lot of space, both in common areas and around. Being on the main road between Arusha and Kilimanjaro airport, it is easily accessible, yet providing a perfect place to relax in the most lovely environment. The rooms are also spacious and comfortable, the staff friendly and courteous, and the food very good, specially the breakfast selection. We experienced some delay on the check-out due to striking card terminals, but the issue was all but forgotten when we returned some days later and were given a warm welcome although not staying at the lodge this time, courtesy to the staff displaying a high level of professionalism on the occasion. Highly recommended.

Great base for out trip to Serengeti and the Ngoro Ngoro crater. Located between Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha airport Rivertrees is a great staging hotel for trips in the region. Lovely comfy rooms and bathrooms, great pool and bar and a super restaurant. Great atmosphere with some hustle, secure and comfortable. Filtered water provided in the rooms, along with mosquito nets and toiletries. Mosquitos were a pain in the evening so take longs and shoes that cover your feet. Nice firepit and gardens for the evening. A lovely place to stay at the beginning and the end of our trip.

I have visited Rivertree's restaurant many times throughout February, March and April. It has been a great experience with good food, good service and delicious cocktails. In addition, it is in the most beautiful, authentic and African surroundings. - Kathrine

My friend and I were in Arusha for an internship, and we were here every week of our trip. It's a nice cozy place with beautiful nature and good food. The waiters are nice and have remembered us through the stay. It was sad the last time we went here, because we made such good memories here. Would definitely recommend!

Rivertrees was our home-base for our team of 14 people, while trekking Kilimanjaro and then going on safari. The beautiful setting the food choices, and most of all the patient and attentive staff were consistently top-notch. Colobus and Blue monkeys played in the treetops and geckos skittered about under the veranda lights. Rooms were immaculate and so comfortable after a very long flight. I would highly recommend this lovely and relaxing country inn. It is the perfect introduction to the hospitality and natural wonders Tanzania is famous for.

Rivertree Resort is a quiet garden of eden at the edge of Mount Meru which provides a great start or ending of your safari. Situated in a greenish forrest you can relax and just enjoy yourself. A walk along Usa River is possible as well and maybe you could spot some monkeys in the tree. The whole hotel is situated in a huge and well maintained garden and you can have delicious food. I would recommend 1-2 nights thus most attractions are not that close by (if you would not like to hike Mount Meru)

Comfortable lodge near Arusha. Set in a peaceful, park like setting with beautiful trees and shrubs, the cabins are clean and well appointed. Casual dining is available in a pleasant restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating. The staff couldn’t be more lovely. A great place to recover from a grueling international flight before heading out into Tanzania!
