Heritage Inn

This hotel was closed down when we arrived. We called the numbers on the outside of the building a number of times but with no reply. We have emailed and there has been no response. Fortunately there was an, lovely hotel just around the house which was able to accommodate us instead. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL... IT IS CLOSED

Upon arriving it took a couple calls to get a response at 5pm. I did not know no one would be there. Once inside the stairs up are a bit much when you have knee issues & a replacement in 2 weeks. I knew it was upstairs, but these stairs seemed to go on forever for here. When it’s your last stop after 2 weeks of traveling we needed to get repacked for airport so everything came in. After we got settled it was OK, just rough every time we left & returned. Be forwarded if you have any issues with stairs. When I booked months ago my knee wasn’t this bad. Room was clean and no complaints there. Washer and dryer were good. There’s a patio, but we didn’t get a chance to use it. Would have loved 2 sets of bath towels (for each) since we were there 2 nights. We left fairly early and got in at 8pm on the second night. I didn’t know what housekeeping hours were & didn’t want to bother them late. If someone steals them charge them if that’s the reason for the bare minimum in any kind of towel. Some kind of breakfast or just muffins & fruit would have been nice. Don’t use Covid as the reason. That’s just an excuse!! We travel a lot & have had a full breakfast until we got here. Our stay wasn’t bad, but could have been so much better. Artesia is a cute little town.

I stayed here as a performer for the Red Dirt Black Gold music festival and loved it! The phone was answered promptly every time I called and check in was a breeze! The room was clean, quiet and had the best hotel pillows. 10/10.

Very accommodating and professional! The made an extra effort to make our last day in Sonora a great one. The pool and bbq area are great. Rooms were nice and the location on the main street in Sonora was awesome!

This hotel is more like a Bed and Breakfast - simple and elegant. We liked the amenities offered - even noticed that there is a laundry room. The outdoor patio looked nice, but we arrived late to the hotel and were too tired to try it out. Our room was comfortable and spacious with a high ceiling. It was relaxing - nice and quiet. The bathroom had a nice feel to it - less like a hotel and more like a home. We were glad we made this choice over the myriad of places offered by the hotel chains.

This is a lovely inn. It is old and well preserved building. The bedrooms are spacious. The bathroom size is fine. Amenities have good quality. We just spent one night at the Inn. We slept well. Our rooms were in the second floor. Parking area is very good and with many options. The Inn has a nice deck to enjoy the evenings. It has a nice western flavor. Breakfast was very simple. Just some coffee, bagels, and cereals. We spent one night. Upon arrival the room was very clean and fresh. During COVID times, room cleaning is however, not offered for at least 4 nights. We did not face this issue as we only spent one night. Location is nice, the Inn is located on the Sculpture road. I heard some noise from the main street around 500 am (Heavy cars). My room was in opposition to the main street. I am not sure how the noise is in the rooms located closer to the main street. Price is very cheap. Friendly staff. There are some restaurants close by. Restaurants close around 800 pm.
