We are regular visitors of Arrowtown and on this occasion decided to stay at the Arrowtown Lodge. The property has a unique charm and the photographs on their website make this property very appealing. We stayed in 'Rosies' room but nfortunately the photographs were misleading and did not equal the styling and luxury they portrayed. The room is tired and in need of a revamp. The paint work scuffed and discoloured, woodwork chipped, grout around the tiles in the bathroom mouldy, the shower head itself the cheapest fitting from bunnings, wood panels missing in the bathroom window, a miss match of mugs and glasses provided, a broken ironing board and dirty light fittings to name a few. On a positive note the bed was firm but comfortable and the breakfast provided, freshly cooked and more than adequate. The host who is not the owner of the property was pleasant but did not go above and beyond to make us feel valued guests. This property has huge potential, it's a shame the current owners don't see value in improvements.
