Lovely hotel, a good 4 out of 5 from me The hotel is impressive looking, especially at night. The pools are lovely and staff great. I was especially touched by the effort Irina, Debi and Demitris put into make sure my partner had a very special 60th birthday at the resort. The hotel group also own a farm which you can visit and enjoy a fabulous meal as part of the package. A sister hotel has a water park which we enjoyed too. Our room was a fabulous location with a little garden leading right out to the pool. It was a little dated but perfectly functional. The swim up rooms looked amazing but i rarely saw people in the water. Not sure how suited they would be for kids. My one frustration was the a la carte restaurants. You have to book 6 days in advance and you are limited as to how many times you can use them. Although the buffet was by far one of the best we have experienced, we much prefer to have an a la carte dinner. We maxed out our booking slots (accepting we would have a handful of buffet meals, but did this before we knew about the hotel entertainment schedule. We had to forgo two a la carte restaurants in order to enjoy the entertainment. Also worth noting for families that one restaurant is only available for 12+ guests and another published on the website is only open in high season so we had a greek, Italian and asain available to us. The hotel has a lovely chocolate shop and does fabulous desserts (although very chocolate based). There is a crepe and waffle place open till 6pm. the buffet closes after mealtimes. I understand the bar offers late night snacks. The drinks are good quality although I have to say the drinks from the long bar by the restaurants are by far superior. Shame there isn’t a lounge area to sit at there. Would I go again, probably. I must admit though the offer at Mitsis with the creperie open til 2am and the a la carte ‘street food’ by the pool is a bit more suited to our tastes.

Solo traveler. April/may. 2/3 nights. 2nd floor. 1 pers room. 2 personal bed. A TV with a lot of broadcasts. The opportunity to put a cup of tea for yourself and write to the desk some cards to your family and friends or to go to a nice small but nice balcony and enjoy. Steady mattresses fine kitchens. Extra covers in the box if necessary. Spacious box to lose all your stuff. The safe and refrigerator are present. Long mirrors to be able to admire yourself before you go out of the door. Dark curtains. Nice bathroom, fine shower, shampoo and soap. Rooms are kept clean by the hard-working people of the cleaning. Breakfast is extensive and delicious. Personnel at the reception friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff and service also very friendly and helpful. The pool is present. But it wasn't filled since it was April. Fitness room present only not made time to use it. There's also the possibility to wash your clothes. Rethimno center/old town at walking distance. Many shops and food facilities in the surrounding area. I recommend a stay in this hotel.

We loved our stay at Ammos Suites and would definitely recommend. We don’t like big resorts so Ammos was perfect for us - small and friendly. The hotel is very clean and our room was spacious, modern and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous with a great shower! Our room was lovely and quiet. We really liked the location as it was opposite the beach but only a 25 minute stroll into the old town. Everyone that works there is very professional and really friendly and helpful. Amazing! Everything was lovely from start to finish. The staff were so lovely- very helpful and accommodating, and the rooms were lovely and clean. The food buffets were decent, especially compared to some all inclusive hotels, and always left you satisfied and full. We also booked on with the on site restaurant (which is included in the all inclusive) and I would rate it an 8/10. Although we never went to any shows, the animation team that stayed round the pool were hilarious and always made the time to talk to you and wish you a good morning. There are 3 different pools (one with a swim-up bar) you can go to and we never struggled to get a sunbed (however, we did go at the end of October) and there are lots of facilities and activities onsite to keep you entertained. There is a little private beach for the hotel occupants with a bar to accompany (however this bar is not included with the all inclusive). There is also water sports down the road who were also very nice and we managed to rent our own private boat for an hour for €75. I would also recommend the Little Train Tours with Michalis. We enjoyed every second with him and did both tours we liked it that much! All in all I would 100% recommend this hotel! The only thing that knocked it down for me was the safe was €3 a night and this was not stated when we booked- especially when we got an unexpected tourist tax on arrival too. Also, even though we did get a view of the sea (slightly) this was covered mostly by trees so little hit disappointing that we paid extra for this. It should have been advertised as sea facing.
