Wow! We traveled here for the Amorgos Film Festival and we were blown away. The service was great and our room- it was incredible. We had an amazing view! However, I will note that the infinity pool rooms come with a "hike". Its the newest part of the hotel but furthest from the buffet/other activities. They had golf carts to bring us but in the rain they cannot use them as the could slip (alt option was a car). Sadly the weather was a bit gloomy while we were there, but we heard in years prior it was super hot so you kind of get a mixed bag with the island (as is common for most islands). Also the heat on the island is different than in the states. 66 degrees felt like an intense 80 degrees, so be prepared! The food was good (I will dream about the greek yogurt & honey!) and the adventures we took with the festival was so insightful. The pools were too cold for us to use and sadly another yoga retreat was going on so there were no yoga classes available to guests at the time we were there. The hotel conveniently picked us up at the port and dropped us at the port as well. Overall we had a beautiful stay and Irina and her family are SO lovely. Cannot wait to go back someday- perhaps at a warmer time of the year!

One of the most beautiful hotels in Greece! We had a room with a private pool overlooking villages, the port, and the sea. Very magical. The hotel has sea water pool, spa, gym, sauna, and many other amenities that are all top notch. We enjoyed the tasty buffet meals that had many choices for all type of eaters. But what stands out the most is the hospitality of the owners and the staff. They were always available to answer questions and help with anything you may need and all done with smiles. They mingled with guests as though everyone is their family. We found Amorgos to be a beautiful island with many pretty villages, cute old windmills, monastery in mountainside, clear sea, and friendly people. Thank you Irene, Nikita and Stamati for a very magical experience. We definitely will be back!

My absolute favourite destination and place! Ticks all boxes, location, environment luxury, set up for yoga, homely feeling as everyone treats me as family there. The new addition to the hotel is even more amazing, a separate building from the original hotel, really luxurious! I have stayed twice already and I will definitely be back again! Thank you to all of the personal for making my stay so welcome and comfortable. I am so grateful for discovering this magical place on earth, as 5 years ago i did not know about the island existed. Highly recommended for relaxing holiday or yoga retreat!

Everything was excellent!!! Very friendly and kind people. The best hospitality!!! The rooms were always tidy. They helped us and gave us information on whatever we wanted. We felt as if we were in our home. The surroundings were so Greek. Thank you for all!!!

We were staying on Amorgos in some apartments which were close to the sea but did not have a pool. So we were trying to find a place where you could have a day pass to use the pool and facilities for the day, and this one popped up. We are unsure if we were allowed to come in for the day because the hotel wasn't full or if they allow this any time of the year. They didn't charge to use the facilities but we had to spend over 15euros per person on food and/or drink. Situated on the hillside, the pool area has great views over looking Aegialis Bay. The sun beds are comfortable with a table in between 2 beds and some of them were under sun shade structures. Once we were on the beds, the staff came out with bottled water and an ice bucket. This was refreshed several times during our stay. They also provided towels. Pool side were toilets, proper showers and changing rooms. Given its a 5 star hotel, the prices reflected this. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We had a lovely day relaxing here. I have only given the hotel 4 stars as we did not stay there. Consequently have no idea what the rooms are like or any other facilities in the hotel.

It is a good hotel but, with all due respect, I cannot see the 5 stars ! Rooms are good and have nice over the bay, unfortunately several problems reg. hot water and air conditioning (heating part) occurred. Food in restaurant is fair but has little Greek touch. On the positive side, I would stress the courtesy and friendliness of the staff, be it at the reception, the restaurant, or house keepers.

Breathtaking location! Stunning views of the bay and Aegean Sea from every corner of the property. I had enrolled for a 7nights yoga retreat and continued to stay on for 3 extra nights thereafter. I preferred staying at the Amorgian styled rooms over to the Cycladic ones as I felt the interior overall was more spacious and the view from the balcony was much more pronounced of the Aegean Sea. The staff right down from the Reception, concierge, kitchen, spa, bar, restaurants were of top quality in terms of service and hospitality. It was a home away from home experience. Delicious Greek Food was In abundance during breakfast and dinner! Lastly the owners of the hotel mingle with the guest like friends! A dream team overall . Highly recommended for retreats or stays in Amorgos

This was my 2nd time staying at Aegialis Hotel & Spa. My first trip was in May for a yoga retreat, which exceeded my expectations. This time it was a solo trip to just relax. The staff always surprises me at how friendly and hospitable they are. And it is in every single department...from reception, concierge, restaurant, spa, house keeping...each person wants to make you feel right at home. And that is what they all did. Anything I needed and asked for was taken care of. My room was amazing - the best balcony I could ever want (big enough for me to practice yoga on or just bathe in the sun), comfy bed, a place for me to work remotely (which I had to do for a couple of hours at the end of my trip), and great bathroom with spa-like shower. The best part was that even though I was not there for a yoga retreat, the staff made sure to find me a yoga shala for me to practice my yoga in whenever I wanted. I also want to point out that this hotel & spa is a great destination for anyone. Yes, they do host a number of yoga retreats, but there is plenty to do on Amorgos if you are not there for yoga. The hotel has a number of different excursions for anyone to partake in, and they will take care of all of the details for you. This place has become my second home and the staff is my chosen family. I will continue to return to this specific hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
