A very filthy property! Upon arrival I glanced at the tub and it’s missing a whole area of porcelain. When I got up in the morning to take a shower there were two big clumps of hair. I showed photos to the front desk person on duty. She just stared at me and then typed on her phone. Seconds later she rudely said there’s nothing that can be done.

While on vacation, a thunderstorm forced a friend and I to alter our plans of camping in this area for the night. I booked a room for one night here. The hotel looked to be in pretty good condition on the outside. The room was clean; the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was in good condition. The employees we encountered seemed to be nice enough.

We just needed a place to sleep on our way home. I prepaid, but check in took way longer than it should have. The beds are very firm. There are no healthy choices at the breakfast. The mechanism to operate the shower is unusual so look for signs explaining how.

bigger pillows or more pillows seal window units cold air and snow coming through offer the staff was awesome and very nice would stay again if needed a place to stay in Ames liked the room very clean

I was very satisfied with the room and the staff were nice! The room was clean, nice and fresh!Only bad thing was the sidewalks needed ice melt, other than that I would stay again! Very happy about my stay

This was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in by far . The room was not clean there was used Toilet paper by the bath tub. The bathroom floor was dirty and there were stains in the sheets . If there were zero stars I would have given them none.

Horrible place to stay and so incredibly rude and unprofessional! We had a medical emergency while staying at this hotel and they were not accommodating at all and had no knowledge of how to switch a room from second floor to a main floor room so we could continue to stay here due to no elevator and then was going to charge us for another room, until they all the sudden had nothing on the main floor, but they had only 6 cars in the parking lot! Something very fishy here…. We left and checked into the Hampton inn where staff was very accommodating and sympathetic to out medical needs. We will be staying at Hampton inn this coming May and canceling at this horrible hotel with unprofessional and rude staff.

I have family in Ames and been very happy with prices, location, services, employees and parking.This was my second stay and already am booked for Nov. As a senior citizen it was first time booking a room with disabled features. Would prefer a walk in shower, many grab bars a big plus
