Our stay was defined by a baffling managerial response to a simple issue. We had meticulously informed the hotel ahead of time that we were a group of four couples traveling together. Despite this effort, we experienced an unacceptable disparity in treatment. While our companions were pleasantly surprised with upgraded rooms, complimentary speakers, chocolates, and other thoughtful extras (presumably to facilitate group proximity), my partner and I were assigned the room we originally ordered at the premium price with absolutely no "gifts" or amenities. When we approached the reception to address this oversight, the staff were friendly but ultimately ineffective. They claimed the situation was "beyond them" and demonstrated a clear lack of empowerment to resolve the issue immediately. The most frustrating part of the entire experience, however, came during the formal feedback process. After describing the disparate treatment, we were met not with an apology, but with a shocking denial. A representative claimed that we had never informed them that we were traveling as a group, attempting to shift the blame entirely onto us. Furthermore, they suggested it was our fault for not notifying reception of the room problem during our stay—even though we had done exactly that and were told nothing could be done. This complete refusal to accept responsibility or admit to their internal communication failure was deeply upsetting and demonstrated a highly frustrating approach to customer care. A hotel should stand behind its service, not actively deny its mistakes and blame the guest. Save your time and effort; there are better places to stay."

"Dogs are only allowed inside the room. We were expelled from the dining room in a mask of lies by the manager. We booked 2 rooms for two couples with a dog for 2 nights at the end of March. After 18:00 there is no reception, a key is inside the room. The first morning we entered the dining room with the dog with the knowledge of the hotel staff. The manager and hotel staff saw us throughout the breakfast. We even had a lot of fun. The second morning we came to the dining room, the manager told us to leave and we were not allowed to enter with the dog (the hotel that accepts dogs by definition). We asked why and even said that the morning before we were with the dog in the dining room and were not told anything. The manager claimed that we did not enter yesterday and we are lying to her. We refused her offers to leave the dog unattended outside in the rain or in the hotel room unattended and told her that if we went in with the dog yesterday, we are also allowed today (no signs about it at the hotel, we were not told it is forbidden even though we asked at the hotel before arrival). The manager forbade us to enter. We walked towards the room to pack our things and since then the harassment of the manager of the hotel has started. Every 5 minutes the manager went inside our room. We were offered to eat in the room (which was infested with ants, in the next paragraph) or after the operating time of the dining room. Of course we refused and asked to leave. She called us liars and said we were coming to disturb them. We asked them to leave so we could pack up and leave the hotel. The rooms themselves are filthy and not maintained. In one room there were dead ants on the sides of the bed (even after we cleaned they came back and died). In another room the corner shower was without a glass wall and we actually could not shower (after complaining they put a curtain on us that fell every time we touched it - we actually did not shower in the room). By the way, the manager said it was like this on purpose (very poor planning). The taps of the water were reversed, we discovered the hard way. There are places around the hotel to do a BBQ. The kibbutz hotel and its surroundings have lots of places to walk and lots of good restaurants. Will we return to this area, to the hotel? Definitely not."

"On my recent visit to Istanbul, I stayed at the Nowy Efendi hotel. I had great experience! good view to take pictures. Very peaceful atmosphere. Good services and food. This place is so clean, modern and very organized. Very nice staffs in special Ms. Gulam in the breakfast room area. My experience here exceeded my expectations!"

"If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. This is an appalling place that no guest should have to endure. From the moment I checked in, issues began: • Dirty, stained bed linen and a mattress protector with brown stains that appeared to be bodily fluids. • Toilet with visible poo stains. • Dirty floors. • Poorly managed car park, with workers regularly blocking guests’ cars. The hotel claims to offer 24-hour reception, but this is false—I was locked outside multiple times with no answer from reception, despite assurances they would always be available. The situation worsened the day before I left, when I returned to my cleaned room and discovered a dirty coffee cup in my room that was used from the machine in my room—something neither I nor my child had used. I raised this alarming issue with reception, concerned that someone had entered my room without authorization, especially as my safe wouldn’t open. Instead of treating this as serious, they acted as though nothing was strange. It seems that anyone could enter a guest’s room, use their belongings, and management wouldn’t investigate or consider it a problem. This is a clear safety hazard: if you want to feel safe and secure for yourself and your children, do not come here. Anyone could walk into your room at any time, use your things, and there would be no accountability—nor would management think anything of it. Even worse, the manager was hiding in the back office while instructing staff to tell me she wasn’t there. Only when I insisted I would call the police did she finally come out—but not to help. Instead, she emerged yelling aggressively, like an unprofessional, rude market brawler, lacking any manners or respect. She even falsely claimed my “sister” had been in my room that morning—while my sister was hospitalized in another city. Feeling unsafe, I went to the police station and returned with officers, who finally helped open the safe. Thankfully, nothing was missing—but the experience was shocking. In summary: If you want clean bedsheets, a properly cleaned room, professional management, or a sense of safety—this is NOT the hotel for you. I spent 30,000 shekels for three weeks and was treated appallingly. Shame on this hotel. Save your money, your peace of mind, and your safety—stay somewhere else."

"Staying at the Zidan Sarai, meaning going 800 years back to the middle ages but with updated facilitations. The suit is huge, composed of 2 rooms, kitchen and hammam. The place provides a pleasant oriental atmosphere. It is located in a great spot, 2 minutes from the harbour, 2 minutes from the old market. Highly recommended."
