Hotel Lomsia

The Lomsia is in the center of Akhaltsikhe, a solid walk away to the Rabati Castle. I got room 315, a modern standard room : generous space with comfortable king bed, office desk, couple of arm-chairs. Water and coffee making facilities and reasonable wifi. Good bathroom with bath / shower, white towels and basic amenities. Breakfast is downstairs with rather small buffet and could be better ; no fresh juice or eggs and service was severely lacking (staff more interested in their mobile phone than customers). I had dinner 1 night : nicely prepared local trout with badly made fries and 2 glasses Chateau Mukhrani Saperavi red - all for 55 lari

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in May ‘22 as part of a small group tour of the Caucasus. It was a comfortable place to stay, but there might be better smaller options closer to the historic center of town if you are on your own. The Lomsia is a modern multi-storey building. The small lobby is functional but not very attractive, with a bar and restaurant off to one side. Our room (316) was large and comfortable, with a desk, armoire, upholstered chair, king bed a duvet and a square pillow, 2 night stands that had convenient outlets for charging devices. Wifi was strong and fast. The bathroom was large and had a fair amount of counter space, and had a tub/shower combo. The restaurant dinner was very good, as was the breakfast buffet. All in all, the Lomsia is a comfortable hotel with most conveniences, but if you are looking for something with more character and charm, there are probably better options in Akhaltsikhe.

This is a comfortable modern hotel with the facilities you'd expect. The rooms we had were plenty big enough and comfortable beds, good bathroom, etc. We had breakfast here which was good. All in all a good visit.

My family and I visited in August and stayed for one night included with breakfast. The rooms were relatively clean and spacious. The breakfast was nice and there was an option to order coffee at the bar

Il Lomsia è un bell’hotel nel centro della piccola città di Akhaltsikhe, a pochi chilometri dal confine turco. Per gli standard della città sembra la struttura migliore: ovviamente per gli standard dell’Europa occidentale risulta piuttosto “basic”. Non c’è frigobar nelle camere, ma lo staff è gentilissimo e disponibile a conservare (noi avevamo dei medicinali che dovevano essere mantenuti a bassa temperatura) quanto necessario nel loro frigorifero. Camera pulita, dimensioni adeguate, bagno con doccia non troppo grande: per una notte più che adeguato. 2 Bottigliette di acqua “complimentary” al giorno La città non offre grandi scelte come ristorazione e abbiamo cenato all’interno dell’hotel (eravamo un piccolo gruppo di 4 persone con guida e autista) e la cena è stata di ottima qualità con razioni abbondanti: in 3 abbiamo chiesto del vino (non compreso) e abbiamo condiviso un’ottima bottiglia di rosso a prezzo contenuto (circa 10 euro).
