We booked this property , to enjoy the courtyard having used *********** for years, I didn't go into into the finer details, as we haver never had any problems ie Hotel policy information, we received an email accepting our non refundable booking, with the two hour check in requirements, but it also had a late fee option 50 euros, I realised I had booked the train station furthest from Aix de Provence, I rebooked and we had 25 minutes to taxi to accommodation, 1.2 km from station, he had also offered a late suggestion which he removed which I thought was because I had changed railway stations , we were in communication. We honestly had tried to meet the strict check in guidelines , but due to circumstances out of our control, a train robbery, no taxis , we messaged to say we were walking, arrived 6:03 pm, he phoned to say we were late after we had rang the doorbell , he hung up on us and then would not take any calls , *********** said they tried to help and totally supported us but could not do anything !!!!! Aix is lovely and the people there made our stay memorable even with the hours spent at the police station. The issue is lack of honest communication, if the owner had something else on why did he not say, why doesn't the property offer a lock box facility ? The questions are endless, but my recommendation is don't stay there.
