Elounda Bay Palace, a Member of the Leading Hotels of the World

Beach is small but very good , nice soft sand , protected from wind , transparent water. Buffet. One for breakfast and dinner looks like cantina with too many package tourists not a pleasant spending time there And that’s a real pity that the hotel doesn’t have only breakfast. Rooms with a mountain view are not having view at all only to the plants in front of hotels , all mountains are closed by the bushes , if you book this category of rooms ask for the highest floor

I recently stayed at Elounda Bay Palace hotel with my mother and 9 month old baby son. We booked it 24 hours before, looking for a quiet break and that’s exactly what it was! Firstly we arrived late roughly around midnight and when we got to our room there was sandwiches and Greek salad waiting for us which was a nice touch as we were hungry after a long day of travelling. Our room was nice but on the smaller side so we asked for an upgrade which the reservations manager kindly accommodated and we were moved to a ground floor double room which was ideal as it was right near the pool area and there were less steps for the pram. We did have a few issues with our new room as the lock on the door was temperamental as it was a key lock rather than the usual electronic swipe card, but we felt the reception staff couldn’t do enough to help and even offered us a complimentary lunch for our trouble. The setting of the hotel is very quiet and serene, given the time of year we travelled there it was off peak season so the hotel wasn’t full at all so there was no shortage of sun beds available etc. There is a sister hotel next door Elounda Beach and i believe you are able to use their facilities also but we didn’t need to. The food was lovely, just a standard buffet restaurant for breakfast and evening meal and then there are restaurants dotted around the complex you can use pay for lunch or pay extra for evening meal. One big negative I will say is the prices were ridiculous, 7€ for a coffee and 20€ for a subpar club sandwich and chips… I couldn’t understand how they could charge this much! We ended up going to the supermarket and buying bread, cheese and ham and having sandwiches for lunch every day as we couldn’t afford to eat in the restaurants for lunch every day. This is a really quiet resort and there is no entertainment on an evening so it depends if you want somewhere lively. It was ideal for us as we wanted a quiet week away! The staff were all so friendly and lovely and were so good with my little boy; it can be daunting taking a baby to a foreign country but they certainly made us feel at ease. The hotel is a short walk from the village of Elounda which is stunning and lots of places to eat and drink! It’s roughly a 20 minute walk. Overall we had an amazing stay and the views were beautiful, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet week away with stunning views.

What an amazing hotel. Location is great, 15 minute walk into Elounda, short taxi, bus or drive to Agios Nikolaos. We were greeted by the lovely Niki when the taxi dropped us off, left our bags, and had the most relaxing check in you could get. Taken to our room, we had been unexpectedly upgraded. What a lovely gesture, and what an amazing room. We had a large bungalow, separate living area, 2 bathrooms… immaculate. 30 second stroll to the pool, one minute stroll to the private beach. Close to the main building and the night time beach side cocktail bar. The staff here, under the guidance of the charming Dimitris, were wonderful. The main restaurant had great breakfast and dinner choices, with lovely views over the gardens, beach and sea. We had the option of using the a la carte restaurants, with a €30 voucher each, but combined the main restaurant with also eating out in some of the local areas lovely restaurants. The whole place is stunning, very clean, and beautifully maintained. The beach and sea are lovely, very safe, and the hotels second beach also has water sports if required. Sun beds were always available, clean towels and covers on the cushioned beds. Can’t wait to go back :-)

We returned after having such a wonderful time earlier in the year. It was my birthday in the June, and you can read my earlier review from then. We booked again to return 3 months later in early September, for 7 days. As we enjoyed the hotel and so much. This would have been our 3rd visit and very good reasons to return. All the staff are always on hand and so friendly as the Greek always are. We loved the hospitality, the Greek food, such a variety of choice at breakfast and at the evening too. We loved the a**osphere, the helpfulness and enthusiasm of all of the people that run this fabulous hotel. There is always a sun bed available and the staff will always help you with your sun parasol. The pools are nice and cool and not too cold. Something, sometimes you need when it’s hot. We have booked again for June this year 2024, again over my birthday. See what this year brings. Thank you all again. Look forward to seeing all again in a few months.

I am staying at Elounda Bay every year and it’s an absolutely amazing hotel. The hotel has a stunning beach and very beautiful territory. It’s very green and it’s very pleasant to walk around. The hotel is connected to Elounda beach hotel and you can dine in any restaurant. My all time favorite is Kafenion, catch of the day fish, delicious Greek salad, everything is fresh and exactly what you want to eat in Greece! Another one is Dyonicios is also amazing and great for a fine dining evening. But most of all what makes me come back every year is people. It’s an incredible team who’s working there! They will do anything to make you feel welcomed and taken care of! The hotels manager is fantastic and my lovely Eirini who’s signing every day at Thassa restaurant and has become my friend. Wonderful stay! Had a fabulous holiday thanks to well thought through attention to detail across resort, super staff (friendly and efficient) and delicious food. Only slight disappoin**ent was the lack of sports activities but this was down to extreme heat and initial room was in unrenovated block. But when mentioned this was addressed and resolved very quickly. Had read people complain about prices but found them to be completely in line with 5 star hotels. 24 Euros for a lovely bottle of wine with an excellent dinner and great view! Buffet dinner had a vast choice to meet all dietary requirements and option to eat across estate (of course it’s cheaper to eat at a taverna but this option kept my family v happy) On-site Diving was great and would recommend. Would definitely recommend and return. Suited all our respective ages and needs. Plus short walk to Elounda for a change of scenery/vibe.

Large rooms, fabulous views, lovely beaches, great pools, staff all very welcoming and excellent restaurant with a massive choice at breakfast and dinner. The other restaurants on site were very good as well. We would consider going again and recommend it to others.

Superb hotel. Second holiday in this hotel. Everything perfect. Delicious food. The beach and water are very clean. Also the pools. Professional staff: especially Anna Maria (guest relations officer). And Larissa from the front desk.

A superb luxury resort with lovely staff, fantastic choice of food and recreation and if I have a gripe, it is only the high price of drinks at the various bars compared to the local town, a small walk away. That aside, this is our third visit and it will not be our last. We have a villa above the sea, with 7 villas sharing a 25m pool. The room could do with a few minor upgrades that I know are planned but I would not swap this spot for anywhere else. The buffet breakfast and evening meal choice is extraordinary in it’s volume, variety and most of all, it’s quality. There is truly something for everyone and from whatever country and culture. Well done Elounda Bay Palace and it’s truly delightful staff.
