The Envoy Hotel Abuja

Home away from home hotel. Awesome staff with beautiful, clean and secure environment. All the hotel staff that we encountered were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located in one of the most secure locations in Abuja.

The only complaint is that the guest room doors don’t completely latch when they close. If you don’t manually push/pull the door closed, anyone passing your room would have access into it. Big security risk.

Really loved how close it is to town, the stuff is very friendly and nice. Loved all the traditional Nigerian food that was served affang and Ebba were my favorite. The room was very spacious and spotless clean. I would recommend adjusting the speed of internet, otherwise very beautiful place .

Very nice 😊 and very good for enjoyment Ofcourse is a nice place to go and have a rest and calm your self down from my own personal opinion what a good 👍 place is really a beautiful place to stay There is gym here which can be used by guests too. The instructor is friendly and good too. I worked out here on my stay and it was a good experience.

Outstanding hotel with excellent customer experience, clean and very professional services. I’ve always stayed at this hotel and they have never disappointed. Air conditioning is top notch, food and laundry services are superb. Its location is central to the site attractions of the city. I will be back.

i had an overall good experience. the staff was friendly and helpful. the environment was neat and quiet. although i asked for an extra bed and wasn't given and no one got back to me on it. every other thing was ok.

Beautiful and comfortable hotel in a serene environment. Great and wonderful staff. Superb meals. Highly recommended. A home away from home. I look forward to each visit. Though difficult to get a room sometimes.

The Envoy Hotel is my Hotel of Chice anyday. It has met my desired comfort level. Its location's exclusivity is fantastic. Types of guests also. I only recommend it should have a specilised loyalty program and provide linkages with the SILK ROAD

The rooms and amenities of the hotel are good. Unfortunately the food isn't that good and the hotel front desk is abysmal. The hotel tried to trick both my colleague and I out of rooms and tell us that our reservations weren't valid. They did this with me on the second night, so apparently it wasn't an issue when I checked in, but they suddenly discovered it when they overbooked the hotel. I came back from my conference and the key to my room had been disabled (turning off my key so I would have to go to the front desk was underhanded). The front desk asked me how long I was staying, I showed them my reservation and confirmation number, and they told me the confirmation number wasn't valid because it was provided to me by my employer's travel agency and not from the hotel directly. I explained that is the actual purpose of a travel agency, I don't deal with the hotel directly, all coordination is done by the hotel and the travel agency. My travel agency said it make the hotel reservation directly with the front desk and got the confirmation directly from them, but it seems the front desk clerk did not enter the reservation into their system. I told the front desk I had no intention of waiting around for them to figure it out so I wanted to go to my room to change. They gave me a new key, and a few minutes later I received a call from the front desk asking if they could send someone to my room to speak with me. I should have declined but I was being courteous and said it was fine. The hotel employee told me they have overbooked the rooms and they needed to move me to another hotel because the person who they gave the room to was on a flight into Abuja. I explained that I had a valid reservation and I was not moving hotels without permission of the US embassy because the hotel was one of only a couple approved hotels in Abuja. I also told the employee if it moved me, it needed to move several of my colleagues because we are required to stay in the same location by policy. The employee left the room, and about an hour later I inquired about the status and was told that they had moved someone else. The hotel was responsible for the supposed mistake with the reservation, but they wanted me to make things easier for them instead of the other way around. They also tried the same with another colleague of mine. So I would be very cautious about trusting that your reservation is valid with this hotel.
