The Breadalbane Arms Room Only Hotel

This is my third time staying here for work. Yes, the place could do with a little modernisation. But it’s a cheap, clean and comfortable place to put my head down. The staff are always friendly and there’s some pretty wonderful places on the doorstep to get some food.

Fairly basic but a comfortable sleep and all you might need. Friendly service.

I would not class it has a hotel there was no restaurant or bar service available it was a room you have to go out about looking for a restaurant to eat in if you want just a stop gap then thats the place to go to.

Stayed here over the weekend. Myself and my dog were made to feel very welcome. Single room, very comfortable for what I required. Bed, VERY comfortable, especially after having been on my feet all day. Room & bathroom so clean. Private parking at the rear of the property. Not a problem that food is not served. Tea & Coffee in the the room and lots of lovely eateries near by..highly recommend

Hotel wasn't too bad but could use some modernising, staff were really, really awful, if you can find them. They seem to avoid customers and if you do find them, their people skills are non existent. Location is very good as it's in the midmdle of town but they don't serve breakfast. A hotel that doesn't serve breakfast???

2 nights at the weekend - 2 single rooms for me and my brother in law using Aberfeldy as a base for a Highland Perthshire golf weekend. Room we're small, but we knew this before going. Rooms were clean, functional for purpose, and we had no problem with what we got. Lowest priced hotel in Aberfeldy - according to past reviews on here - so if you're looking for a spacious room with plenty of perks then this isn't the hotel for you. If you looking for a no frills, clean comfortable hotel that provides accommodation to only sleep in, then this hotel will suit you. Friendly staff, great central location in the town, and I would be happy to stay here again.

The staff are ignorant and appear unintelligent. We were on a two night break for our anniversary and the smoke alarm went off in our room at 4am on our first night. We are non smoking pensioners and this alarm going off startled and frightened us. I tried to reset the alarm to quieten it as it was very loud and the staff were slow to arrive. When the staff did arrive, they didn't enquire as to why the alarm went off or offer any help whatsoever. There was a receptionist and a random man who didn't even introduce himself to us or offer identification, we assumed he was staff but we don't know. They just began shouting at us and said that we had set the alarm off . The man with the receptionist took out his mobile phone and took a photo of my wife in the bedroom with her pyjamas on saying that it was evidence of our guilt of tampering with the smoke alarm which we were trying to reset as it was so loud. We still have no idea who this man was. They wouldn't listen to a word of our explanation that the alarm just started for no reason and must be faulty. The alarm was obviously unfit for purpose. After I had manged to reset the alarm, the pair who were shouting abuse at us then disappeared quickly without offering help. We knew that we wouldn't get back to sleep after that and decided to pack our things and head for home. We also gave up our second night, losing money to the bargain. The whole experience was a nightmare. I would not recommend this hotel at all. When we went to reception to hand back the key and explain why we were leaving, there was no staff to be found. This is the worst experience we have encountered in any hotel in which we have stayed and we have travelled extensively.

The hotel is situated in the center of the cute Aberfeldy village. There is a parking for customers (outside). The receptionist is friendly . The hotel is old so not fresh, it would need a big refresh. The price is low compared to other accommodation in the area. However we slept good in the mattress. Be aware that there is a dancing bar in front of the road (bring earplugs if you need some, I didn’t need it). If you don’t have a big budget for the accommodation but you want to be well situated, this hotel is a good option.

Room was quite basic and had a nasty smell coming from the drains. The sink in the room didn’t work. The beds were comfortable. Generally the property looked like it needed a refurb as the windows and doors seems quite worn.
