With Qingdao Railway Station just 400m away and Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport only 53km away, transportation is very convenient. Just a short walk from Qingdao Railway Station Metro Station, traveling to most city destinations is a breeze. This hotel is located near many of Qingdao's attractions including St. Michael's Cathedral, Zhanqiao Park and Pi Chai Yuan. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. GGuest UserLocated inside a housing compound. GPS navigation brought me to the door, which was fortunate as it would be hard to find otherwise. They could do with a sign in English – meanwhile, look out for the Chinese characters 观海. It looks like you're arriving at the back door of a ground floor apartment. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, using a translation app where necessary. The atmosphere is cheerfully scruffy and youthful, with hundreds of visitors' signature all over the walls. Facilities are basic – the showers are over squat toilets (plenty of water though), and there are no drinking water refill machine (buy plastic for 1 yuan at the reception). The lobby area is tiny – they actually advertise the sofa bed in the lobby as a single-occupancy. Not a great idea – don't confuse it with a tiny single room as I did. They upgraded me to a dorm room. The mattress is not soft. The location is good for a visit to May 4th Square and the seafront. Overall, it was okay to doss here one night, but I found Kaiyue Hostel much better value.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an excellent location with convenient transportation, and is surrounded by well-developed subways and buses. The room is heated, making it especially warm in the winter, and air-conditioned in the summer. The sanitation is excellent, the lighting is great, and there's a balcony for drying clothes. The room is ventilated and odor-free. There's plenty of purified drinking water (both hot and cold) and hot water for washing. The owner is welcoming and the check-in process is simple, with prompt notifications of any necessary matters. Takeout is available in the living room, which also has a smoking area where you can sit on the sofa for tea and a short chat. The rooms are well soundproofed, and there's no noise at night. The guests are all very polite and conscientious, creating a harmonious and comfortable atmosphere! Downstairs are Chao Yi Xing and Bao Zi Ke, so you won't have to worry about food and clothing. This is a great choice for studying, working, or traveling. Excellent Youth Hostel is probably the best located youth hostel in Jinan! Excellent Youth Hostel will provide the best service to make you feel at home. Welcome to Shandong!

GGuest UserThis was my first time staying in a hostel, and the environment was really great. Plus, it was only for girls, which made it feel safer – that was one of the main reasons I chose this hostel. The bed was also very comfortable and soft; the owner and the hostel staff were incredibly kind, and their pick-up service from the station was excellent, helping with my luggage.
Truly good hotels don't need much advertising or positive reviews; we students will naturally promote them, haha. The hostel also had lots of little stickers for leaving messages, which was really thoughtful. I left one too, hoping the owner's business thrives, and that I'll recommend it to my friends next time they visit Qingdao, hehe.
For those of you traveling in Qingdao and still undecided about which hostel to stay in, don't hesitate, book now! As a university student, I prioritize honest reviews.

The small courtyard was planted with various flowers and plants, and the wooden tables and chairs were scattered. The sun was warm and warm, like breaking into a paradise. The owner greeted me so well on my first days in China.
He got me dinner the first night, drove me around the day after to get a Sim Card and even gave me a phone charger. Great man, never asked for anything

However, the rooms were spacious and clean, same as bathrooms and common areas.
The ambient is cool with some Chinese travelers and also all over from Asia willing to make plans and get to know you.
Location was convenient with public transport and local restaurants near by.
Felt like home.

GGuest UserI'm so lucky to stay in this treasure youth hostel in Qufu! As soon as I entered the door, I was healed by the cats in the store. The soft little kittens moved freely in the public area, and from time to time they came over to rub against my trouser legs and ask for a pat, instantly dispelling the fatigue of the journey. Although the bathroom facilities are a bit simple, there is plenty of hot water and all basic needs can be met. The hostel has a great atmosphere, the common areas are decorated in a warm and artistic way, and you can sit and chat with friends from all over the world in the evening. The boss is a very down-to-earth person. He enthusiastically recommended local niche attractions and authentic food, without any tricks at all! The overall cost-effectiveness is super high. I feel the fireworks and human touch of Qufu here. I will stay here again next time I come!

The bed is very small, the smallest bed I have slept in a youth hostel. I can't count how many times my head hit the bed board. A girl of 1.6 meters can touch the bed with her feet. There is no window, the room is very closed, very depressing, these are all OK, but I can't stand that there is only one washing machine. I started queuing at 11 o'clock in the evening, and I didn't wash it until 1 o'clock in the morning. I started queuing at 9 o'clock the next day, and it was more than 10 o'clock. This is still the previous girl who didn't dry it, saying that she didn't have time. Finally, I washed it, which is really difficult. I can only wash but not dry it. Once the drying button is turned on, it takes two hours. Who has two hours to wait? In addition to washing, it takes more than 3 hours. You can even put a few more machines for a fee, but what is the difference between not being able to use a free machine and not having it? In addition to the washing machine, the bed is small, the room is closed, expensive, and the cost performance is not high. It is not worth 80 or 90 yuan. It is too expensive. There are mosquitoes at night, but the public facilities in the living room are quite good, the bathroom is quite large, there are bookshelves and cats, and the living room has a sense of atmosphere.
