[Parks info below] I'm glad that I checked out this hostel, good value for money. Room was nice and tidy, lots of electricity sources in bed and common area, curtains, hot shower. I shared the 6 beds dorm with just another girl, and you make your own bed. No toilet paper, no free water refill, no light in bed. It's worth the price. If you extend your stay directly in the hostel it's cheaper than the app. The reception area is more cramped but you can socialize there. Most of the people are Chinese but I also met some foreigners. The guy in the reception speaks English and can give you information, in addition to that I recommend you to do your own research. There are two baby cats playing around, and an adult one. You can get to the hostel from the west railway station by bus line 17 for 2 yuan - last bus at 8:40pm + 15 minutes walk. Location is close to the main avenue where there's a lot of restaurants, and a 24-hour convenience store close to the corner with this same avenue. There are two night markets in the city, one on the avenue like 10 min distance walking to downtown direction, more local, and another one on the street in front of the tianmen mountain cable car, more touristy. The hostel is 15 minutes walking to the central bus station where you can get the bus to zhangjiajie park and 15-20 to the tianmen mountain cable car station. [ATTRACTIONS] Zhangjiajie (avatar), tianmen (heaven's gate) and canyon (glass bridge) are 3 different parks in different locations. The entrance to zhangjiajie gives you access for 4 days. I went the 4 days and enjoyed it very properly. If you're short on time, 2 days will do, but plan it wisely based on your priorities. Gates are 1 hour trip distance from the central bus station - 1h30 at weekends. Also, note that before entering the park with passport and face scan, you need to do an APPOINTMENT for that hour. You usually do it there at the gate, but for a saturday all appointments for that hour were sold out in advance and I had to wait for 45 minutes to go in. Recommended to check in advance especially on weekends. There are 2 types of tickets you can get: including all cable cars and elevator for unlimited time for 450 yuan; or just the entrance (including only free shuttles) for 215 yuan - you still have the option of buying each transport at the park (75 yuan cablecar one-way, 65 elevator one-way). At first, I had understood that to see the avatar mountains, the ONLY way was through the elevator, so I bought the all-inclusive. Turns out you CAN go by free shuttle + hike + free shuttle if you start in the east gate. My favorite part was the huangshi village. For tianmen, the entrance is 260 yuan. Choose the route in advance because some sell out fast. Gold advice: go at least one hour or more BEFORE the hour that you have the tickets for. The hour of your ticket just matters before the very last point before boarding the cable car. The line was MASSIVE and it took me 2h30 waiting on a Monday - ended up getting in 2 hours late than my ticket time and couldn't finish the whole loop: took only the red trail and went down to the heaven's gate. About the Canyon, I can't say much because I decided to skip it and save the 210 yuan ticket - note that this price DOESN'T include the activities, you must pay separately. The package that includes almost* everything is 360 yuan. Last but not least, if you go to the 72 Wonders, there's also an entrance of 88 yuan. You can go/come back with the bus 17 - same line that serves to the west railway station, last bus 8:40pm.

Room & Amenities (Single Room) Private Comfort: The Single Room is quiet, clean, and well-maintained—ideal for solo travelers who want privacy to rest after logging 20,000+ steps. Key Features: High-pressure hot water in the private shower (a lifesaver after a long day of trekking), comfortable bedding, fast Wi-Fi, and efficient air conditioning/heating. The Verdict For any solo traveler or independent hiker visiting Zhangjiajie, Travel of Swan Hostelling International (Logo Store) is an absolute 10/10 recommendation. You cannot beat walking directly from your room to the park gates every morning.

This is perfectly located to enter the east gate of Zhangjiajie park. It’s close the the bus station too. You can get filtered water, use microwave, and they have shampoo and body wash and toothpaste and disposable towels. The rooms are not fancy but comfortable. The staff are lovely, and they are especially helpful with planning your Zhangjiajie hiking routes. The receptionist gave me lots of good tips! Thank you! Also, theres a dog and cat as security your guards! 😆

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. The room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. There was no cigarette smell at all, and the room was quiet with no disturbing noise, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. The hotel also has an elevator, making it very convenient for guests. The location is excellent — very close to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. There are many restaurants right in front of the hotel, making it easy to find food and local specialties. What impressed me the most was the hotel staff. Every staff member was lovely, friendly, and extremely helpful throughout my stay. Their hospitality made my trip even more enjoyable. The room was fully equipped with everything I needed, including complimentary drinking water, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, bath towels, and slippers. The room size was perfect and provided plenty of space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Another great feature was the high -speed internet. The WiFi connection was fast, stable, and reliable throughout my stay, which was very convenient for planning trips, staying connected, and streaming content without any issues. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay. If I visit Zhangjiajie again in the future, I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again.

Perfect location, very clean, and a great host. He helps you with everything. It's a one-minute walk to the main promenade by the water. Would book it again.

This was one of the best hostels I stayed in China. The location is very convenient- a quick walk to the bus station, also very easy to reach the main attractions like Tianmen Mountain. The room was very spacious and extra clean. But the best part was the host- she was really nice, friendly, communicative and very welcoming, always ready to help, answer all the questions and give some recommendations about the area. I would highly recommend this hostel if you're travelling to Zhangjajie!

Unlike some of the other places I've stayed at, what you see on the pictures is current. It's a family run business. The owner was super friendly and accommodating. I had a slight cough, and she immediately made me some warm tea to soothe my throat. Her hospitality was beyond my expectations. A drink was spilled on my jacket, and when I got back after dinner she helped me wash and dry it manually. Her breakfast was also amazing. For a budget hostel, this ranks near the top

An unforgettable stay and an exceptional experience! The host was incredibly kind and helpful; she kindly helped us buy tickets for the National Forest Park and Grand Canyon, and thoroughly explained the map with the best itinerary to visit the Avatar mountains, making our trip completely seamless. The rooms and towels were always clean and fresh. What made it truly special was how friendly she was—she practiced her English with us and talked to us like a close friend. We had such a wonderful time together, we are so grateful for her hospitality, and we will miss her a lot! Highly recommended!

The location is fantastic, right next to Peiyuan Bridge Metro Station, making it super convenient for getting around! The hostel has a great atmosphere, and even as a solo traveler, it's easy to find companions. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the environment was comfortable. My only small suggestion is to improve the cleanliness of the bedding details; this time I found a stain on the sheets. Other than that, everything was satisfactory, and I would consider staying here again!

Very nice hotel, we loved the comfortable round bed. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well. The location is good, very close to one of the cable car stations, so depending on which route you choose, it can be very convenient. The area is okay too, with a few restaurant options nearby. The room itself was very large, although it also felt a bit empty. We really loved the mountain view though.
