The Samay Wasi was the best part of Cusco for us. We were scheduled to stay in other hostels as well, but dropped all of them in favor of staying at the Samay Wasi. We were there for seven nights. The view for one thing is unmatched in Cusco. The breakfasts are excellent. Price rooms are quiet and have nice showers with hot water. Bed mattresses are actually comfortable. Wifi is better than most hostels. The people working there are very friendly and helpful. The best of the hosts is James. He spent a lot of time in the US and speaks perfect English and Spanish. If your lucky, he will be the one picking you up at the airport. He is the man to talk to when it comes to tours and local things to do. He will take care of everything as far as that is concerned. Very calm, patient, and attentive. He will keep you on schedule through What’s App. My brother and his wife will be traveling to Cusco later this year and they will also stay at the Samay Wasi and rely on James as we did. HIGHLY recommend.

The friendliest and most helpful receptionist that I've ever met works at Bear Packer in Cuzco, and his name is Bruno. Gracias por todo!! Apart from that, Bear Packer has free breakfast, free storage, free wifi, nice beds, a good location in Cuzco and beautiful murals all over the hostel. If I can wish something for my future visits, it would be a more sturdy system around the locking of the storage boxes (not the padlock itself, but the metal / wood that I attach the padlock to, to be more trustworthy). Really relaxing stay at Casa Tunki, Cusco. Stayed prior to and post-Salkantay trek, and it was the perfect place to recover. Dorm rooms were very clean and spacious (probably the nicest dorms we have stayed in so far). Bathrooms and showers were so nice it felt like we were staying in a luxurious hotel rather than a hostel. Special shoutout goes to Jasmina, the lady who welcomed us at the front desk and looked after us our whole stay. Really helpful throughout, especially when organising our transport to the bus terminal late at night. Overall a great place to stay if you’re looking for relaxation/recuperation during your time in Cusco.

Es lugar único donde su decoración es sobre perritos así que si eres amante de ellos te encantará, yo quede fascinada con el perro del hostel es un amor muy cariñoso. Las personas muy respetuosas a partir de las 9:30 puedes comenzar a descansar sin ruido y sin que las personas te mencionen un horario para estar en la sala de estar. Nosotros teníamos un loft privado y estuvo muy bien nuestra estancia, cómodos con un lindo lugar y muy limpio. En calidad y precio muy acorde. Adicional en nuestro loft teníamos una cocina muy linda y limpia con todo lo necesario si necesitabas cocinar , refri y cafetera lo cual nos hizo aún más placentera la estancia. Solo un pequeño detalle con la ducha o muy caliente o muy fría pero este detalle no afecta a tu estancia aquí. La chica de recepción nos ayudó a pedir un taxi privado para poder realizar actividades todo el día, el precio muy accesible y sin mencionar al conductor que manejaba con toda la precaución , amable y nunca nos presionó. 100% recomendado este lugar y sin mencionar que está muy céntrico. Una bella sala de estar, una bella cocina y un hermoso perro. Gracias a la chica de recepción que he olvidado pedir su nombre. Recomendado con los ojos cerrados este bello lugar.
