I really liked this hotel! The bed was comfortable, the room is clean, and the interior is cozy, at night it was no noisy. The staff is polite and the guy at the reception helped us at night to know what we were asked. Location of the hotel near the center, it is convenient to get by taxi. One minus is that there was not enough free space near the washbasin. Also in the hotel give a coupon for free coffee, but coffee can be obtained only after 9 am. Here is a small terrace and even a trailer! Upstairs there is a place where you can spend waged clothes. We are really satisfied!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Boutique hotel. They offer a tea set in the rooms as well as the tea lounge. The location was perfect for walking around Guilin and seeing beautiful attractions such as the sun & moon pagoda towers. The price was excellent. Right across the street there is shopping galore and tons of street food vendors. The fruit in Guilin is amazing.

HOW TO REACH: The local name of this hotel is “Wang Jiang” tower or building. This helps if you are traveling from Yangshuo Railway Station by taxi. I traveled with my friends – 3 families (with kids), and we are non-Chinese. Typically, several taxis are available at the exit of Yangshuo Railway station. Someone approached me who can speak English – so took a 10-seater. The cost is about RMB 20~25/person & takes about 40 minutes. ROOM: Spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The balcony view helps, depending on which side the room is located on. I chose the front side view, which has both a river view and a mountain view. HOTEL: Although the hotel doesn’t have a lift, the staff delivered the luggage to the room. If you need help at the time of checkout, they may help. But I did it on my own at the time of check-out. It is conveniently located close to West Street (10 min walk). HOTEL-RESTAURANT: very good restaurant in 1F (vegetarian options as well!). It is very popular among the locals & we liked it too. But it gets very busy during the weekends. So, if the room is close to 1F, it will be loud till ~ 22:00. HOTEL STAFF: All are very friendly and do their best to help foreigners. Many staff can speak English. In my case, YAWEN is worth mentioning, as she helped us a lot in planning our local trips. Even before arriving at the hotel, we had a plan. But our interactions with YAWEN (& her feedback) made it very convenient & time-effective for us. LOCAL ATTRACTIONS: It is possible to book tickets for the Ruyi scenic spot, Silver Cave, Hot air balloon, Li-river cruise (from Yangshuo), Xinping (hot air balloon), Bus-trip to Longji Ricefields, & many more at the hotel.

For only 100 RMB, I got a private room complete with toiletries and en suite bathroom. Everything is clean. The location is a walkable distance to Guilin Railway Station. I arrived at Guilin West and took the No. 22 bus and stopped at Nan Men Qian Nan. I walked 300 meters moving forward. Before the first crossing, turn right. Walk some more 200 meters or so and the hostel is located to the right next to food shops. You might get confused though if you booked this in English. The name that appears on Trip.com is Guilin Guanghu Inn while in Agoda it is Travel Light Guilin. The hostel's building has the Guanghu Inn in Chinese characters and then Travel Light written in English. So yes, it's one and the same. The hostel is only a few minutes away to the two rivers and four lakes. It only costed me 9 RMB via Didi (like a Grab or Uber app). The reception serves good coffee too! Basic breakfast of two eggs, three slices of bacon, two pieces of toast, and a cup of coffee is pegged at 28 RMB. The best part? Jerry and Jennifer! They are so delightful to speak with because they always are open to help out with that signature courteous and friendly manner. It was my first time in Guilin. I have a feeling I will visit again because of Guilin Guanghu Inn/Travel Light Hostel.

I absolutely loved this hotel. The view was beautiful from our room and the location was perfect. Right next to the reed flute caves and delicious Guilin rice noodles 5 minutes away. I was able to take a bamboo raft ride on the lake outside the hotel and the staff were just perfect. Melody’s English was great she was super helpful, all the staff were very helpful. I loved my stay here and they helped us carry all our heavy luggage down into the taxi as well. 10/10 just great. Oh!!! And do not forget to take out the bicycles for a ride!! The hotel lent them to us for free. There is a bicycle trail super close to the hotel that leads all around the town and it was by far my favourite experience in Guilin. The scenery was just amazing.

A truely fabulous stay at this hotel. Conveniently located a short taxi ride from Xijie town (and its wonderful and vibrant West Street), the hotel's setting provided superb scenery and total tranquility. The staff we extremely polite and helpful, and our 2-bedroom suite exceptionally comfortable and clean. The only areas for possible improvement would be a stronger wifi signal and a table and comfortable reclining chair in the main room. Otherwise a perfect stay and highly recommended.

This place is absolutely magical. Me and my friends drank coffee on the roof every morning, the views are stunning. Lily the host is just an immaculate human being with a wonderful heart made of gold. She was so helpful with finding all the crags and good local food! The place has a real character that should not be missed out on! This was the perfect place to meet other climbers and get connected to the community in Yangshuo. The location is perfect for access to good food and good routes. I climbed every day but one! She has scooters, guidebooks and rental gear if needed. The place is legendary! 10/10 would book again! Thanks for the great time!

Spectacular accomodation!! As others have said, the location is perfect, the view from the rooftop alone is breathtaking. At the recommendation of the staff, I took an e-bike along the scenic route north of the Li River and had to pull over every 30 seconds to take another photo! Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly accomodating, friendly, and extended many invitations for group outings. The climb up Laozhai mountain is a must-do, it isn't a difficult walk and the view from the top is priceless. The room and building were well maintained, never had any issues with cleanliness and the price is very affordable for very budget travellers! Overall: Affordable, clean, friendly staff, and an amazing location. If I ever return to Xingpingzhen I will absolutely stay here again.

The hotel is fine, correct. The only thing we didn't know was that to go to dinner in Yangshuo you have to take a boat that passes every few minutes, and that's not a limitation but you have to be careful. As for the rest, the hotel has spectacular views and a brutal sunset at the pool.

The room was not the room type I saw in the picture when I booked the room, but it was not bad, so I accepted it. The interior decoration is very stylish, luxurious, clean and quiet. The B&B is halfway up the mountain and you have to climb a small slope. It is close to the center and convenient for eating. The service is mediocre and a little weaker than the other B&B, but it is not bad. WeChat will answer all questions. The only downfall is the breakfast. If it is three or four hundred in the off-season, this kind of breakfast is not picky, but on holidays, the room fee is more than a thousand, and this kind of breakfast seems to be fooling. The child is very unhappy because he doesn't drink milk, not even juice, only water. I guess we don't like the taste of Guilin rice noodles, which is hard. If the service and breakfast can be optimized, I think I will recommend it to my friends.

The hotel is in a great location, right next to West Street. It's very convenient to go to Shilihualang, and there are many choices of food around. It's just that there are too many people on holidays, and it's a bit difficult to get a taxi on the roadside outside the hotel. The hotel also gives you a small red flag, which is really good. Before going to Longji Terraces Scenic Area, I read the comments of netizens and chose this homestay. It is really worthy of its reputation. The food is very delicious. The couple has the simplicity and ability of the Red Yao people. The hotel is not full, so they upgraded us to a family room. The view is superb! Thank you very much. I will come here to eat, stay and play next time when I have time.

Perfect hotel. The view from the bedroom is so good that you don't even feel like you need to leave the hotel. The food at the restaurant is also great and at a good price. They don't know how to speak english but they always tried to help with everything they could and we were able to communicate through translation apps. We booked transfers from guilin to the hotel and from the hotel to Yangshuo and everything went very smoothly (and a lot cheaper than we would get anywhere else). The breakfast is only chinese and rather small, but very tasty! We recommend this hotel to anyone going to this area.

After looking at B&Bs for a long time, I finally chose Qingshan No. 1 because it was halfway up the terraced fields, and I didn’t want to live at the top of the mountain overlooking the terraced fields. The scenery is very good~ We went by chartered car, which could drive as close as possible to the B&B, so we got off the bus and walked to the B&B very quickly. Looking at the scenery in front of me, it’s great~ I made the right choice. It was already around 2 pm when we arrived at the B&B, so it was very convenient to eat directly at the B&B. There is a restaurant in the B&B, and the accommodation also provides coffee, which is really thoughtful. Talking about the food, I think the price, taste, and portion are very satisfactory. The boss will also give rice wine brewed by the owner as a gift with the meal. It is sweet. I heard that you will get drunk if you drink too much. And I happened to have a sore throat, so I could only taste it briefly, otherwise I could really drink it all. Haha 😄 After a full meal, we chatted with the boss for a while and took photos. Someone happened to be going to the No. 3 observation deck. The owner of the B&B would drive him there. He was so nice, so we went with him. We didn’t want to bother the boss with running around. . It’s quite easy to walk up to the observation deck No. 3 and it won’t be strenuous. I recommend everyone to walk around and take photos. I gave the grandma there 5 yuan, and my daughter and I walked into the rice fields to take pictures. It is recommended that tourists not be too stingy, and grandma is not easy either. Because I saw some uncles breaking into other people’s rice fields and refusing to give them money. Just a few dollars, speechless ~ Halfway down the mountain, I notified the boss to pick us up and take us back to the B&B, so everything was arranged properly. We returned to the B&B and took a rest. Since we ate lunch late and barked too much, I wasn’t hungry yet. Only my daughter who didn’t eat was the hungriest one, so I asked the boss to help her cook some noodles. The boss is so nice because it's not on the menu. It was getting dark very quickly when we came back, and we had to wait until the next day to take pictures. The boss also provided free Yao clothes for guests to wear for photos. I really wanted to wear them, but it was a pity that it was dark. It would be better to wear them during the day for photos. Talking about the room itself, the B&B provided free fruits, and I actually ate them all, haha, the little apples were very fresh and the oranges were delicious. The room configuration is very considerate, with a swing and a bathtub, everything I asked for. Bathtub covers are provided🤗 But unexpectedly, it rained that night and continued until the next day. But we were lucky because we had already been to the observation deck yesterday, otherwise we would have stayed at the B&B today. After eating a rich breakfast at the B&B, we waited for our driver to pick us up and take us back to Guilin to take the train home. The driver was also a little late because it was raining and the road was slippery, and it was a winding mountain road. I heard that there had been an accident on the road, and safety was the most important thing. I will come again if I have the chance. This time I happened to go to Longji before the harvest on October 27, and I could finally see the autumn scenery and the golden terraced fields.

The service has been excellent. The owner, despite not speaking English, has been very helpful, helping us at all times with anything and always with a smile. When we arrived at the Jinkeng Dazhai parking lot, the homestay would arrange a handsome boy to pick us up at the parking lot. We booked a 270° panoramic mountain room. All the rooms in the homestay can see the whole view of the terraced fields. It is a 5-minute walk from the No. 1 viewing platform, but I don't think there is any need to go to the viewing platform specifically. This homestay is full of panoramic views! Moreover, no matter what room type, it is equipped with an independent terrace, where you can watch the sunrise in the morning and the sunset in the evening. Finally, the food is reasonably priced, including bamboo chicken, bamboo glutinous rice, fish, etc. All the food is delicious! We also gave the Yao family homemade glutinous rice wine, which is very delicious. I drank more than half a pot by myself, and I can ask for more if it is not enough! After checking in, the handsome guy will send us back to the Dazhai parking lot. In short, if the full score is 10, I will give it 100 points! 😃😃 If I have to say a disadvantage, it is that I don’t want to leave! 😁😁

Beautiful boutique hotel in Dazhai. One of the newest hotel in the area. Book a corner room with a panoramic view of the rice terraces. Relax in their cozy chair and watch the clouds roll in and your cares and worries roll out. Experience warm hospitality from the service staff especially from a young female staff surnamed 黄. The hotel was packed with noisy children due to summer school holidays but she always have a smile on her face . Dinner is ala carte. Remember to book early as the kitchen staff struggles to cope if the hotel is full. Our room was big and comfortable with a bath tub out on the balcony with a retractable roof. Only negative point is there is no lift. People with walking issues may struggle up the spiral stairs . The staff help you with your luggage . Overall an excellent hotel with wonderful hospitable staff. Highly recommended.
