Clean modern spacious good people friendly and helpful staff Kitchens are a great size lots of room to move around this establishment is spread over multiple buildings each with there own facilities. ie tv rooms kitchen many activities to do in each has a laundry. Lounge rooms are incredibly comfortable with bean bags sofas and large chairs. The hostel is located 3 minutes walk from CBD so is very close to all activities There are multiple supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. The hostel is located directly opposite kuirau park worth a walk thru. Cannot say enough about the value of this hostel. Has various room sizes and bed choices really reccomend a stay p

The location is very good, right next to the i-site, it is very convenient to catch the intercity bus in the morning. Many restaurants nearby, Government Gardens, Polynesian baths, and a Tamaki Maori dinner event I participated in are all within a 10-minute walk. Hygiene is okay for backpackers’ hostels. They seem to wash the sheets themselves rather than outsource them, but I don’t know which is cleaner. I don’t know if this hostel is run by Indians. The staff are all Indians, so there are more Indians staying in. Everyone is very kind. The only one who wanted to complain is that the bathroom hook is too high. The 154's stature said that he couldn't reach it on tiptoe, and the staff responded that they had nothing to do. Fortunately, I carried a portable hanger at any time, barely reaching it. Otherwise, you can only put on the wet floor towel to change your clothes, just think about it😥

It is a very convenient inn, close to the center where the bus departure and arrival are held and the night market is held. The shared part such as the kitchen was quite beautiful. I think the room depends on how the person in the room uses it, but I think it is a beautiful inn for backpackers. It is the impression that there were many people who made a lot of noise in the room until late time, probably because there were many use of young people. There was a little problem with payment. I paid in advance and my credit was withdrawn properly, but I was charged again at check-in. The manager refunded me. It is said that the cause is the lack of cooperation between the inn and the affiliated company, but I think it is better to confirm it firmly on the day of check-in even if it is paid in advance. When I contacted Trip.com, he responded immediately even though it was midnight. Thank you.

We just had an amazing 5 day stay! We had a family group of 8 (multi-generations) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins were perfect, with comfy beds, nice linen, small kitchen with all the essentials, and a bathroom. The communal areas were lovely and clean and well equipped. Nice communal lounge with a fire place. The big pool was heated and the thermal hot pools were awesome! Kids had fun on the trikes and the bouncing pillow. The staff were very helpful, the housekeeping staff were fantastic. Thanks Tasman Bay!

Had a girls weekend to Rotorua and stayed at these apartments. A few streets back off the main road but nice and quiet and a quick drive to town. Had the 2 bedroom (Unit 6) which was very cosy, clean well stocked. Its around the back of the units and nice and quiet. Plenty of linen and electric blankets on all the beds. It has a spa located at the back of the units but we didn't use it. Showers were fantastic with instant hot water and great pressure. Thanks for a lovely stay

The hotel used to be a private mansion with every detail. The hotel is facing Lake Rotorua, the room has a wide view, five minutes drive from the skyline and ten minutes from the downtown. The hotel has its own paddock, where horses and sheep graze leisurely on the slopes. Breakfast can be cooked to order, and the lamb in the kiwi breakfast is very good. It was very comfortable to take a walk in the courtyard after eating breakfast. The hotel staff was warm and considerate. Some regrets were that because of the self-service on the skyline, I didn't try the dinner at the hotel. I have a chance to try it next time. There is a study room on the second floor of the hotel. There is a 200-page world map on the table. It has been turned over and confirmed that there is no less in China.

There were some sites that rated this as a 4. Seriously... maybe a solid 3. The lady who's runs it is nice and helpful. The basics were clean, but walls, etc, weren't and lots falling apart. My kitchen sink was crazy small and the tap wasn't attached, so when you turned it on, it moved, and water was everywhere. I was worried when I first arrived, seemed super sketchy....traveling solo. It turned out to be safer than I thought. The room and amenities were sufficient, and it was close walking distance to a super cool park, active vents, etc. But was it a 4, no, not at all. The place is falling apart, and I had my own room with ensuite.

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family. The apartment was modern, spacious and clean and close to town. Staff were so lovely and helpful too. We stayed next door around 10 years ago, so it was great to revisit Rotorua and know we would be staying in top accommodation!
