Luang Prabang Homestays

Stayed here for 3 nights. I think it was the perfect location. Not far from the town centre, restaurants, bars, market. Yet it is far enough to stay away from all the noise. (10-15 minutes walk max) Quiet for the night, the rooms were big enough and comfortable. Rooms, bathroom cleaned each day. Breakfast had a great selection of food, a sweet and savoury, and vegetarian section also. The staff were very helpful if you needed anything. After all, I would 100% stay here without hesitation if I travel back to Luang Prabang.

We really enjoyed the extended period of stay here. Spacious room with comfortable bed with the balcony. Functioning TV and fridge. The breakfast choice is amazing and each are cooked fresh. The owner and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Daily room cleaning. A great little hotel to relax.

Got off to a bad start with my t/f to guest house not in attendance on airport arrival despite landing 20 mins late. The water in shower was only tepid and no hot water for shaving. Breakfast for the extra 40,000kip[US$2.50] was adequate with unlimited tea/coffee. On arrival was placed in wrong room then moved to other side which was above the carpark and near the main road. Room was well appointed, no fridge or tea/coffee facility and house keeping good with consistent time each day[2pm]. The location was the most disappointing being on wrong side of river and having to cross the bamboo bridge to the tourist area on other side. There was only one main restaurant near g/h and as a result was very popular overlooking river.

Had a wonderful stay here -- it's a small, family run B&B-style hotel within easy walking distance from town. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, although for a view you need to stay upstairs (downstairs rooms are a bit dark). Highlights included the friendly staff, amazing breakfast (which is included), free water (which was very helpful given the hot weather at this time of year) and efficient laundry service. They also kindly stored a bag of mine for two nights while I was out trekking on a tour. Would certainly stay again, it's a great deal for a wonderful hotel!

I spend 300 nights a year in hotels, and I try to write reviews that allow readers to have accurate expectations of hotels. Golden Lotus is a fine option, but you need to know that it’s a family guesthouse ( think hostel with private bathroom ), more than a boutique hotel. The location is excellent if one wishes to be in the city center. The breakfast is adequate, albeit, a bit on the spartan side - not buffet style. I found that the property was a bit noisy, especially in the morning and evening, merely because of its setup - it’s a bunch of rooms in a house. The family that runs the place is very friendly. There is no hot water from the bathroom tap. They charge an additional 3% if you pay with credit card. If you are aware in advance that this is a humble guesthouse, then, I think you will be fine. I was a bit underwhelmed with the facilities and the breakfast, because I thought it was a boutique property. Overall, it is adequate, but nothing special. But the location is great, as is the family running it.

Nice location! The staff isn’t welcoming and they don’t stay in the counter. You can not really find them when you need them. They don’t leave phone number for you to connect too. If you rent the motobike, you have to park in other places; their staffs will help parking the motobike for you. But you could not find the staff most of the time. 😂 I don’t recommend to stay there.

It is close to the morning market in Luang Prabang. There are many restaurants, cafes and close-ups in the morning. The room is not soundproofed by wood, but the boss is good, very fluent but not very fluent. Change bath towels every day, you can have breakfast at the hotel for 20,000 kip, including local breakfast and local bacon or something, the French stick is really super hard.

Already the second time I stayed here, Belmond was very popular because of the activities. The pool is also the most beautiful in Luangprabang. It is especially good to watch the sunset. Excellent quality and intimate service, as well as food, two breakfasts and dinners, were deeply impressed. If you want a quiet leisure time, this is a good choice.

The breakfast is very rich, the hotel is very quiet, you don't have to go downstairs to see the bus on the balcony in the morning, the hotel is in a good location, it is close to the night market, and it is also close to the attractions in the city. One small bed and two beds. The room number is 106. If you are recommended to stay here with your child, there is no special parking lot at the door. Just park on the side of the road as long as it does not affect travel.
